As far as I’m aware, no launcher (in the style of KRunner) exists which has all those features.
With some effort, you could implement a lot of this functionality using a “generic” launcher (like rofi, for example), but integrating a system tray will be close to impossible (unless you’re willing to write a program which acts as a system tray and provides those launchers with enough information to display a useful representation of the tray, could be cool).
I agree that the situation would be better with more sites, but it’s pretty clear this is a special case for GOG (I don’t think they’ll start hosting just any mod), and even if it wasn’t, this mod won’t be on Nexus, so the total number of sources for it would stay the same.
I wonder why they don’t also host the mod on Steam (like SKSE for the original Skyrim). Also kinda weird that the GOG employee they interviewed used this project as an example of how GOG is different from Steam, when Steam has a long history of hosting mods…
Can someone please help me understand how one could make his own frontend for the Ferdiverse? It seems like to run on a bespoke protocol, and has HTTP endpoints as well. The help says you can create your own frontend, divorced of HTTP. What I am wary of is the documentation being out-of-date....
Lemmy (and most other ActivityPub server implementations) uses its own HTTP API to communicate with clients. I’m not sure where you read that HTTP is not required.
Just because the will of the majority is repugnant doesn’t make it not democracy, or “democracy” (implying that it is, in some way, not true democracy).
I agree with most of your points, but this is not true as the majority can easily make a nation undemocratic.
A functioning democracy needs to ensure there is no tyranny of the majority.
I can’t remember the exact route, but I usually pass quarry junction and then run along the left side of Black Mountain, you can usually sneak past most Deathclaws this way (and lose the ones you can’t sneak past on the slopes of the mountain).
After that disguise yourself as NCR, take the monorail and you can get to Benny in like 10 minutes.

The “ending a sentence with a period” on the other hand? My answer would have been “Are you high?!” Seriously, it doesn’t make any sense and it sounds made up.
I used to find it rude when someone ended a text message (specifically on IM platforms) with a period, though ever since some older relatives started texting I got used to it. I can also remember at least one time I ended a text message with a period because I was angry. This is also something I’ve noticed other people do.
In a way, since a text message already has a definitive end point, ending it with a period feels redundant. To me, this makes a period at the end almost feel like a “weak” exclamation mark.
In general I’ve noticed people use as little punctuation as possible when texting, instead breaking up longer thoughts into multiple short texts to compensate.
I think that’s a good middle ground, I do this too sometimes when I don’t want to be interrupted, or if I’m just sending someone some information without recent discussion.
More than anything, though, it’s a gut punch because it sends a message. The wrong message, really. Xbox had one major studio in Japan - no more. Idk the last few years have been pretty good when it comes to PC ports of Japanese games IMO.
We got stuff like the RE remakes, good PC ports for japanese franchises which never had PC ports (for example Ace Combat 7 and Armored Core 6), not to mention that it seems much more likely for new japanese IPs to just have a PC port when they release these days (as long they’re not exclusive).
Molly still depends on Signal’s centralized servers.
Best solution I know of currently is SimpleX, though Veilid (and VeilidChat by extension) also seem promising, though it might take a while for those to be usable.
I’m not very old, but I remember as a kid my big sister would go to the local market and buy burned copies of movies still in theaters (which were usually a recording someone made of the movie in the theater).
Einstein may have supported Labor Zionism, until it betrayed its purported socialist principles.
You’re making shit up
He took the draft of a speech he was preparing for a television appearance commemorating the state of Israel’s seventh anniversary with him to the hospital, but he did not live to complete it. In the draft he speaks about the dangers facing Israel and says “It is anomalous that world opinion should only criticize Israel’s response to hostility and should not actively seek to bring an end to the Arab hostility which is the root cause of the tension.”
The letter plainly shows he doesn’t support terrorists. As I wrote in my original comment, it makes no reference to Zionism at all.
You’re claiming that draft, that I had to tell you about, which was written 7 years after the establishment of the state of Israel (when it was barely a functioning state) is Hasbara?
Edit: Also, if he was against Zionism, why was he ashamed he couldn’t accept being Israel’s president? Why was he moved by the offer?
They didn’t close Campo Sango though, and haven’t closed other studios they bought historically (like Turtle Rock, which eventually became independent of Valve again and released Back 4 Blood).
