i remember when i used to avidly read conversations about #CDrama and #KDrama eagerly looking for more to add to my watch list.
Now I just keep reading until I find the post which tells me I won't be able to cope with it and this is another series I should probably miss.
How do you stress addicts manage it? Like seriously. How do you cope with all of the cortisol and stress reactions from your entertainment?

i'm also waiting for a learn to speak thai book which might work with my brain. i have zero hope of actually speaking thai, i just want to understand more of what i'm hearing and my brain is just lolshrug whatever with romanised lyrics for OSTs right now.

please send me some oxytocin-bringing things. my feed is lopsided this morning, sorry if i've boosted or wrote more than you want to see; the last BL i watched was too much cortisol without enough oxytocin; i've seen my 3 minute series enough that my brain is a bit blind to it, need to take a break; the weather is dire; and the madcap story i used to make up to cheer myself up has stopped living in my head since i wrote it down so i wouldn't forget it.

Anyone watch Triage? The MDL reviews are over the top gushing and nearly all positive so when it was recommended to me I gave it a go. It's ambitious but there are far better series in every regard.

Tee played his two-note character well enough, I liked a few characters, my highlight was recognising a voice and realising it was Gong from Moonlight Chicken. I know I react differently to stressful dramas but this was inferior and not worth it.

Am I alone in this opinion?

hive mind: i need incongruous names for at least two cats, 1 syllable or at most 2 short ones. The first one we meet was Parsley for a wee while but is currently called Squirrel. There is also a goat named Sheep (after the story's only reader).
I don't think there will be any dogs, more independent animals suit the story better, but something more improbable to live in the garden with the goat would be grand. But not a snake, I'm not doing that to myself

writing hive mind: i need a distinctive hobby for a character. He's a 199 year old vampire defined by chaotic boy energy and the fact that he really will live forever. He plays video games with his older brother, loves cock and balls innuendo, and has flung himself out a window and down a flight of stairs so far. They all ride mountain bikes and have a band but don't like practicing.
I'm thinking he should knit.

i had this 45 from my great grandmother when i was young. it was my favourite of her records 💖

(my best estimate is that she was around 80 yo when it was released, go grandma 😊. i was 5 when i was given her 45s and a wee suitcase style turntable. these were my most treasured possessions for years. she lived well into her 90s)

I'm writing a story where one character works with clay. What is the most delightfully mucky part of this? I've seen video of potters with clay slip (right word?) on their arms, which is what I have so far.
The important thing for this story is that it's tactile and messy.

i went out to the darkest area i can manage to get to in hopes of seeing aurora. saw some clouds coloured by light pollution and some interesting shades of blue amongst other clouds and i have a headache because my ears got too cold (10 C stupid ears)
