Today, we’re looking at that Vauxhall/Lotus link again with the Lotus Europa S/SE. I’ve posted these pictures (taken at my local leisure centre car park) before, but I hope you won’t mind because this car provides the link between yesterday’s Vauxhall VX220 and tomorrow’s car. Like the VX220, the Europa S/SE was an attempt at a slightly less hairy and more spacious take on the Elise. It also uses a similar GM engine to that fitted to the VX220.

@davidwilkins The Lotus GT tentative based on the turbocharged variant of the VX220. It was a bit heavy for a 4 pot Type 111 derivative, due to the cast iron Z20LE engine and the interior fittings. Never drove one.

Today, after the Chevette HS and the Lotus Carlton, we’re looking at a third Vauxhall with Lotus links, the VX220. The VX220 was designed to be a slightly more grown-up/mainstream and more liveable-with (but still fast and sporty) take on the Lotus Elise, on which it was based. This car - actually the faster VXR220 rather than a standard VX - is from Vauxhall’s heritage collection and lives at the in Gaydon in Warwickshire.

@davidwilkins The 2.2l NA variant is the most "lotusish" of all Type 111 derivatives as the L61 engine was mostly developped by Lotus Engineering.
Even if the later 2.0l turbocharged variant is much more powerful, the 2.2l NA has better handling IMHO.
A friend of mine has just bought a supercharger kit for his 2.2l NA, it should be fun 😁

Dites, en matière de partage de fs en réseau, y'a rien de plus moderne que NFS ? (Qui accuse quand même son âge (sécurité, performances...))

(On oublie sshfs qui reste un peu bancal et qui - il me semble - a été abandonné par son mainteneur.)

EDIT: c'est dans le cas d'un usage en LAN.
EDIT: j'exclue Synthing et autres car ils passent leur temps à faire des copies. Ce n'est pas ce que je veux.

@sebsauvage SMB depuis un serveur Truenas SCALE ici, pour tous les équipements clients. La seule exception est une VM FreeBSD pour laquelle un partage NFS a été créé, le support SMB étant calamiteux.

The 1977 Chrysler (later Talbot) Sunbeam was basically a reskinned short-wheelbase Hillman Avenger. But its 'opening rear window' style hatch was copied from the Imp, which also donated the Sunbeam's 928cc entry-level engine. At the other end of the range, the much more powerful Talbot Sunbeam Lotus, snapped here at Paris in 2014, was a competition success, winning the 1980 RAC Rally and the 1981 World Rally Championship.     I thought it would be interesting to do a few more pioneering hatchbacks, so today we’re looking at the Renault.4, which was first introduced in 1961. Some people say this is a small estate rather than a hatchback; I think it can be argued either way. I snapped this late model at the in 2014. I think the modern plastic exterior trim detracts somewhat from the R4’s original look.

    @davidwilkins Mk I ('61 to '68) and Mk II ('68 to '75) grilles were prettier for sure. Renault 4 Super and Renault 4 Parisienne are more exotic versions.

    Allez zou, mise à jour de ma machine de bureau en FreeBSD 14.0 ! Aucun souci ça a très bien roulé, même avec les graphiques (un reboot de + nécessaire pour vérifier que les pilotes étaient bien configurés).

    @pb Je suis probablement parano, mais j'attends la x.1 avant de basculer sur une nouvelle branche -STABLE, un souvenir de la 5.0 qui n'a pas vraiment été stable avant la x.3 même si cela a servi de leçon en termes de gestion de release

    @usul @pb À l'époque de la 5.0, beaucoup de monde :)
    Pour les releases suivantes, il m'arrivait de dual booter une machine pour tester le support matériel ou quelques applis, ce qui était un peu lourdingue, l'accessibilité de la virtualisation pour tout un chacun a permis d'accélérer le processus, j'ai donc toujours testé la nouvelle branche stable avant de basculer sur la x.1

    Rappel : Si vous avez besoin de détecter les images en double (ou proches) dans un lot d'image, Czkawka est terriblement efficace.

    Ce n'est pas juste une comparaison de fichier: il est capable de vous trouver les images très similaires.

    (Il marche aussi pour détecter d'autres choses : fichiers en double, fichiers temporaires, répertoires vides...)

    Disponible pour Windows, Linux et Mac.
