Amazing to me that we're pouring billions into AI but we still don't have good contact group sharing or calendar freetime matching outside of enterprise.

(I'm aware of every mediocre solution to the above, no need to tell me about them, they are almost all terrible)

Like, it's good to think for yourself, but you have to also think about how these rescue and recovery methods were developed! They just seem to have gotten this message their whole life that they just naturally know it all, but THEY DON'T."

She said the only time they had a group fail at a rescue was when there were no girls on the team and it was just boys and I was like "I am not surprised at ALL"

Today started as:

"i'll spend 15 minutes swapping our under-sink water filter"

and progressed to:

"the gasket in the water shut off valve has disintegrated"

and wrapped up as:

"I spent most of the day replumbing all water lines under the sink"

(at least now all water is filtered through a single filter, including our instant hot water tank, our main faucet, and my coffee machine)

@bud_t FWIW when I go to print I see that the signature I added disappears. I'm assuming that's because it's in some sort of pending-change state that needs to be accepted (which I'm also assuming you are already aware of, but felt that I should mention it just in case)

Another random interval "are you checking your email" test for my kids.

This time I make them confirm legitimacy using an out-of-band channel and a code.

I ask them what information they use to evaluate the mail legitimacy.

Finally: They must include a quote from Gravity Falls or Adventure time.

FAMILY DEMO NIGHT: we have regular demo nights where we show off software we're using.

Each kid gets up & screencasts their device & walks us through apps or tips. I demo as well, but not every time.

This week:

Son: Best screentime apps & why he picked ScreenZen (I'm using it too now)

Daughter: Notion for classwork scheduling & Goodnotes for her note-taking (she used to be paper only, but likes the flexibility of iPad note taking).

(we pair this with fam reading time after)

@NotThe There are a couple stand out episodes like Gingersnaps, where there was some real personal insight that occurred during the episode (that one does also have the only swear word we let in though, from quoting the film,... all other episodes we worked overtime to avoid language)

If you love horror movies please give my daughter's TeenHorrorCast a listen. She's so right that she, as a girl, had a really different take (and the right take I think) on this film than I did at first, and she changed the way I thought about it completely.
