It makes me seriously uncomfortable from time to time to remember that I've outsourced the music I discover to

You see, my issue with music is that I consume it in LARGE quantities. And I was very happy with Grooveshark. Nothing has just yet come close to Grooveshark's recommendation algorithm. You could give it 3 songs and it would find you a neverneding list of stuff that went with it without being identical.

Spotify is the closest to that functionality but it just...doesn't get there. It has a tendency to direct you towards commercial stuff instead of what you actually want.

BANDCAMP is the closest to what I would morally like, pay the artist directly and get music but it doesn't have any Grooveshark-like recommendation algorithm just yet.

I wish they were there because Bandcamp is also the place with the highest quality of sound and my ears do indeed notice the difference.

EDIT: Also the and the discovery of for-not-profit stuff that actually WORKS is making me rethink all of my service provider choices.

After a year in a quite toxic and weird relationship, Iā€™m single again but much more relaxed. In fact, Iā€™ve logged in again in the gay dating apps (which are more focused on seeing profiles around you and chat with whoever you like than apps like Tinder) but, since as I said Iā€™m feeling good and I donā€™t want to be nervous about meeting other guys, Iā€™m using them just for friendly chats, that means if I ever meet a guy, there wonā€™t be any mandatory expectations about physical or romantic relation, just two people knowing each other.

Iā€™m telling you it is amazing.
Itā€™s not like everyone is nice, rather someone even accused me of being a jerker who annoys people willing to hookup šŸŒš
But, even if people know that I just want someone to meet and know for the sake of knowing new people, they are still willing to talk and it is quite an easy way to know new queer people in your area.

The thing is itā€™s nice to see that there is more complexity even in places online designed to flatten human experiences.

This is the most important thing that should accomplish over any others

Fediverse is the local pub where you usually hang out with your friends, where you know the host, and spend most of your time.

Sometimes you may get bored so you open IG, which is basically the disco on the other side of the street. Itā€™s actually a shitty loud place, but everybody is there even if the owners donā€™t give a fuck about them, everything is ridiculously overpriced and music sucks.
So when you feel totally overwhelmed you need to get out, so you cross the street and sit at your pub to relax l; eventually staying for the night

are devastating the region in right now.
After 2 years of extreme drought, this May we had not a single week without rain. In particular, rain is falling continuously for about 2 o 3 days now (almost 200mm of rain in 48 hours).

The result is 14 overflown rivers
6 people died
thousands of evacuees
shitload of euros of damage

The river, the main one of the region, didn't overflow yet but water level is dangerously high.
Of course my house is right next its banks but luckily they have been recently raised so maybe hopefully we'll be ok.

This situation resembles a lot the 2021 floods in Western Europe.
So I guess this shit is just routine by now. At lest I hope this events can raise attention about environment management, since this stuff happens at various degrees of seriousness yearly but still water basins management is just LOL
