Still learning…but this is me. Love physical exercise like yoga 🧘🏼‍♀️ pilates or balance 🤸🏼‍♂️plus a bit of pump 🏋🏼‍♀️ but also happy to just walk 🚶‍♀️ I believe we’ve lost our way when it comes to food & am a proponent of J.E.R.F. Just Eat Real Food & very little processed or packaged food. Love my garden, especially when I grow my own produce. Not very good at it, but that’s ok. At 71 life is pretty damned good, healthier than I was 30yrs ago & intend to stay that way for as long as I can. Wiradjuri country.

Another V/Line train trip today. I'm heading to Bendigo to have lunch with my brother. As you do. A bit easier now that the country train fares in Victoria Victoria have been capped at $10.60 per day.

Ok mastodon brains trust, especially Aussie ones. Anyone know what little bugs come out of this. There were two of them & both shaped almost like the Tesla logo. There was also a little green praying mantis nest (or whatever they’re called) nearby. Very soft & papery to touch.

Good morning tooting friends. Slept incredibly well last night, I get super fidgety when I’m tired & I was that way by about 9.30pm last night probably due to the lovely walk yesterday. A little frost outside this morning, first I’ve seen this year although I know there’s been another one at least. Oven on as soon as I got up at 6am & I have freshly baked bread by 7.30am, smells awesome. I’ve already had eggs 🍳 for breakfast though, this will be lunch once it’s cooled. Gym first up today then a visit to my daughters to drop some things off & a coffee. I enjoyed yesterday so much I have it in mind to go for another walk this afternoon. I’ll see how I feel later.
Happy Monday everyone

Extreme inequality has gotten worse!

‘Everybody has not won’: trickle-down economics was an idiotic idea. How do we fix the inequality it causes?

That's odd. The UK election is being held on the USA's Independence Day, while the US election is being held on the UK's Guy Fawkes Night.

Don’t know if we can draw anything from that, but it's curious...

So there will be all sorts of fireworks 🧨 on both days now 😁.

Good overview.

A humiliating election speech, with little to offer. Sunak’s USP was competence – what of that now?

Good morning tooting friends. Lovely day yesterday wandering Yarrawongas foreshore & main streets with my friend. We were trying to find somewhere for lunch & came across a tiny gated alley way with sign out front advertising homemade foods, so down we went & there was a lovely grassed area with tables & chairs, a few small raised garden beds & a little building where the food was prepared & sold & it was just lovely. I had house made tomato soup with toast & my friend had pumpkin risotto. Absolutely delicious & reasonably priced. Hidden gem. Obviously popular with locals as within half an hour of arriving there the place was full.

It’s lovely isn’t it. I’ve always enjoyed exploring alley & laneways - you often find interesting & quirky things.
