Having a charge-the-collection day. Every time I do this iPod I forget it's a HD based machine until partway through it fires up the drive with a noise that sounds like the ones that early morning huntsman spiders make when they click to each other on the walls.

@garthbeagle @likesoldmacs @NanoRaptor Indeed. Had to get mine replaced. Seems like so many have bad feelings about the 6400 (and the Performa line in general). My first two Mac’s were the 476 and 6400 and I loved them both. They served me well as a teen. I definitely did every upgrade that was supported on the 6400, so I made it last.

@caseyliss Finally started to actually look at Tailscale. It sounds like if you want to not just have your Plex server exposed to the internet and instead put it on Tailscale, you’d also need all your Plex friends that access your Plex libraries on Tailscale as well, correct? Is this what you are doing? I’m worried about the family/friends frustrations and inevitable (increased) IT support. Also, none of my Plex friends use Apple TV, so can’t utilize the Apple TV Tailscale app.

@siracusa in the Home app or Control Center, you just tap the icon to toggle on/off and not adjust dimming. Tapping anywhere else on a dimmable button will open the dimming controls.

I’ve long had a vinyl record collection that I haven’t played music from because I could never find a player I liked. I bought this Audio-Technica Sound Burger because I love how compact it is! I don’t need to dedicate the top surface of a piece of furniture to just a record player. Plus it just looks cool!

Why don’t dentists give toys anymore? When I was six I had so many slinkies so idk how they were supposed to incentivize good hygiene. Now I have no slinkies and I’d gladly floss five times a day for a slinky

They also had a kids tooth chair.

That dentist flossed your teeth a little too aggressively, which I’m sure affected me long after and made me not want to floss.

I really don't love this thing

• I don't love that I can't turn OFF file sync that I never use
• I don't love that many top-level items (like ‘Stock & Marketplace’) are false fronts that just open a web browser.
• I don’t love that prominent UI here is trying to sell me more seats — and I can’t hide it!?!
• I don’t love that it can’t auto-fill the 2FA login codes when they come in via text message
