“But for Ms. Gendreau, 62, who was also a state senator representing northern New Hampshire, the mural had set off alarms. She was certain there were subversive messages in its imagery, planted there by the nonprofit group that had planned and paid for it.
The group was North Country Pride, founded four years ago to build more visible support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in the rural region.”

Oh fun, in order to electronically sign my tax returns, the identity verification process used by AssureSign asked me which of several phone numbers and names were “associated" with me - and they were both for my ex. Way to make my day just a little big worse.
@fullyabstract tangentially related: I've had an amazon associates account for well over a decade. I have NEVER been able to get ANY of the generated funds because there's a tax identity verification step that asks for your info and REFUSES to believe that my info is correct. 🤦♀️
These days I just use it because it produces shorter links for social media.
Sorry your having to deal with that. Both the forms & the bringing up unpleasant memories. Our system is such crap.
I've struggled so hard with the stuff you're talking about because ADHD means terrible memory and i had no clue what address i lived at like 10 years prior.
