I’ve been thinking a lot about this. Sometimes I don’t understand people and often times they don’t understand me. I take many things literally, I think about stuff in my own way. I love numbers and I have niche hobbies I’m very passionate about. I live inside my own head, I love written communication and I hate speaking on the phone (24/7 silent mode). I get easily anxious and suffer from anxiety disorder. This has been my whole life.

See where I’m getting at with this? In my anxiety I wonder if I could get to the bottom of it and figure out do I have a diagnose for autism. But I’d rather not, because I am somehow not comfortable with the whole idea as I have been only getting used to being a person with anxiety for the past couple of decades. Rather not add more labels for myself in vain.

@rolle Follow your own instincts, only go down the path of getting diagnosed if you want to.

My wife decided to get diagnosed and the confirmation and hearing (and esp. reading) about women with autism was (and still is) a relief to her as she now feels less alone, she feels less of an alien. The label allows her to better understand and accept who she is. So it can be useful.

@stefan I always re-enable the backspace as "back" navigation key when I do a fresh FF install actually, works great for me :-)

    @dvk @chris I switch from my bicycle to my wife's elliptical trainer when the weather is unwelcoming. not the same, but that way I can convince myself to still get a bit of exercise ..

    Every time I want to look for a video on YouTube the first thing I see is the start of an ad.

    When it does that, I close the tab immediately.

    Which means every time.

    That platform has become unusable.
