I'm a little lost (or not). Why would someone uuencode a function just to comment it out??

Hmmm...Ok, I can see some logic in that. I just haven't seen/used uuencode since my telnet days into the Uni over X.25 in order to use Telix's text capture to download files since Y/Z-modem didn't work. (uuencode, turn on capture text, then cat the file...)

So Zoom for Linux is no longer showing me my scheduled meetings. There's an update but I really don't want to upgrade for fear of all their "AI" crap getting involved.

Oddly enough, I can "join" my own meeting and while it take a minute to get in, it does. What a POS.

Once upon a time I used a PeerTube host whose name I can't even remember anymore. But I want a location that can easily be shared across the community. Now, a lot of us are here so that may work. [1/2]

When I vetted PeerTube instances, I settled on DiodeZone based on their rules. I hear MakerTube is also a good one.

Internet search is absolute shit.

Question: Is there a way to block/ignore a function provided by a library in favor of my own so I don't have to rename things?

Ex: I have my own code with a 'pause' function, but the code requires "unistd.h" for other stuff. "unistd.h" already has a 'pause' function (different return/params, etc.)

Is there a way to include "unistd.h" but tell the compiler to favor my 'pause' function instead?

First, I wouldn't put much stock on any account ending in 'ai'. Not saying your fake or untrustworthy, but it doesn't help your cause.

Second, please at the very least, use the term "Former President...". That orange f*** face has no respect for the office or this country and should not be given any respect of a current title. Just my $2.56.

@thunderbird, I like your app and have been using it for years, but when I launch it freshly updated and you immediately bounce me to my browser for this crap? No, that's messed up. Want to show me a dialog with a link, fine, but force bouncing me to a web site with 3rd party links is doing your users wrong. Bad form. ๐Ÿ˜’
