I just added this one to my TBR! The synopsis reminds me of a shorter Three Body Problem (which I really…liked? I’m not sure that’s even the right word for that series lol).
I am looking for some old school horror and (murder) mystery books and stories like the ones by Lovecraft, Sherlock Holmes, Scarhaven Keep, The Beetle, The House on the Borderland, Dracula....
I really enjoyed T Kingfisher’s The Twisted Ones (2019). According to the author, it’s based off of a story (The White People by Arthur Machen) that freaked Lovecraft out.
Yes! Towards the end of winter my plants are looking rough and I keep telling them, “X more months guys!” because my house doesn’t have a good amount of sunshine.
Nope none of the above! He can hear his can of food being opened every morning and definitely sees when his “little” sister wants to cuddle with him on the couch.
I haven't seen a movie since 2019 (Frozen 2) but that's just because the experience isn't worth it to me anymore and that's kinda sad. I miss midnight showings and horror movies with large groups of people.
I've been weightlifting at the gym with my brother at least 2-3 days a week for the last 2 months. I recently noticed a week or so ago, after my workouts, the soreness has decreased in the days following, tremendously. No longer am I walking around with locked knees because my legs are going to give out, or with T-rex arms...
To be a good influence. My 7 year old wants to start weightlifting to get stronger for her gymnastics classes, so I've been teaching her the basics, stuff to do with dumbbells because I don't have a bar she can lift yet, as well as yoga and good eating habits. Honestly, sometimes she's a better influence on me to get out there.

I'm so happy that I'm able to make a lot of things that my family eats from scratch. Bread does not need sugar/HFCS in it to be tasty! Really the only things I buy pre made now is pasta (I'm learning how to make spaghetti noodles, but elbow noodles remain elusive lol).
I don't, but I want to get one for my husband for his birthday. If I get the dock, can 2 people play the same game of it's on a TV or do I need 2 decks?
And then save the bacon grease in a jar to add to gravys! I add a tablespoon or so to my sausage gravy for biscuits and gravy and it is freaking delicious. Can also use it to grease a cast iron pan before making a pizzookie for a little extra flavor.
I make the poolish the night before. Do a bulk fermentation for at least 3 hours, then final prove for 1. Bake in a dutch oven with the lid on for 30 mins, then 20 mins with it off.
I don't know about you all, but I consider myself to belong in the GenX population. Most of my younger coworkers have maybe heard about Futurama but have never seen it. So many of the references and jokes relate to older pop culture. I am hoping some of the new episodes will be relatable to GenZ and beyond. What are your...
There will always be shows where the references go over the viewers heads. Hell, I've had to Google so much from The Golden Girls that I didn't understand. My 10 year old and 7 year old both love Futurama. The characters are timeless.
