Are you still using the official Mastodon app? You don't have to!

There are loads of brilliant third party apps which work with your existing Mastodon account.

Unlike Twitter, Facebook etc, Mastodon uses open standards, which means third party apps can do everything the official apps do and more.

There are links to third party apps on the official Mastodon site, just scroll down past the official ones:

Click on Android, iOS etc to narrow down the app selection.

All I want from AI is a button I can press for an incoming spam call that starts a convincing conversation to waste the scammers time, including granting them access to a fake remote computer and giving them honeypot credit card numbers.

    @thomasfuchs I would be sad to see you go! Your posts are always interesting. But you’re probably getting that a lot in your replies. I just can’t see them (and I agree that this doesn’t make sense).

    In the beginning of 2010 I was registered to over 150 social media sites. The rise of the social media were exciting times. There were rarely any algorithms, no TikTok, no Instagram for Android, no ads on Twitter.

    However, over the years everything went to shit. The social media sites died one by one and couple of the dominating players slowly shifted to platforms where your data was no longer yours, where you were the money machine. The sad thing is, most of the people didn't even notice this change.

    I'm really hopeful about the rise of the open Internet, , etc. We need this.

    @rolle I Miss StumbleUpon and hope that something similar comes out with ActivityPub!

    I think the other “big one” that would be on my list from 2010 is Google Reader.
