Color me surprised that might not use the best digital security practices. BTW, if my burner email pops up in that leak, know that I signed up just to monitor this particularly bonkers group of antivaxxers.😂

Also, I only signed onto their email list. I'd never actually give them the personal information they'd want, not to mention the money, to join.😉

Yesterday, I wrote about how conspiracy "journalist" Paul Thacker had dishonestly smeared @alineitzelmd as somehow "not a physician." In my post, I noted that Thacker was so sloppy that he seemed to think that I reside in Wisconsin when my state of residence is Michigan.

Well, Paul Thacker is the conspiracy monger gift that keeps on giving. Today, I noticed that he had quietly altered the text to remove the error without mentioning that he was correcting an error. Here are the before-and-after screenshots.

An actual honest and ethical journalist would have added a note saying that he had altered the text to correct an error and explaining what the error had been. Of course, as a journalist Paul Thacker appears to be neither honest nor ethical. This is now obvious to me.

OTOH, Paul thacker has admitted one of his errors, grudgingly, as this screenshot shows. Amusingly, he is either oblivious that Dr. Neitzel is obviously trolling him or intentionally ignoring the troll in order to feed his credulous readers a narrative that he's somehow "won."

Seriously, though, shame on The BMJ for having published Paul Thacker's dishonest "journalism" on the Pfizer RCT of its COVID-19 vaccine./end

I made a move today.

@pch I feel ya. I have a large, very old WordPress blog whose technical issues and database glitches are rapidly surpassing my ability to deal with them. I've considered on and off whether to move my blog to Substack as a free blog, just to eliminate the technical difficulty that I've had keeping the blog running, as well as the hosting expense. I just can't.

Good. She should never have been a regular host of Jeopardy! at all. She's an antivax, quackery-promoting "holistic mom" who before Jeopardy! used her PhD in neuroscience to shill for a useless "brain health" supplement.

As always, I bring the receipts, too...from nearly 12 years ago! Of course, in 2012 she hadn't yet started shilling for Neuriva supplements. https://www.respectfulinsolence.com/2012/02/21/say-it-aint-so-amy-farrah-fowler/

@JezCaudle @berniethewordsmith @pluralistic I’m glad I saw this post, as I’ve long been toying with the idea of moving from iCloud Keychain to 1Password. I didn’t know that the company has been sold. iCloud Keychain has been more than adequate for me for a long time, and it’s free.

@idoubtit I still keep wondering why, in an age what most people have high quality 4K video cameras with them in their pockets at all times, the “best” images of UFOs are the same as they’ve ever been, low quality, grainy, and ambiguous.

@JenLucPiquant I still use it, but not a lot. That’s mainly because it’s too much like Instagram and I never really liked Instagram.

It's 2023, and there's a US election in 2024 that will determine the future of climate change, war in Ukraine, the global economy, reproductive rights, and global fascism.

And folks still want to talk about Cambridge Analytica in 2015, instead of stuff like this:

    https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2024-election/democrats-scramble-reach-voters-florida-cancels-mail-ballot-requests-rcna91294

The reason you can't make any progress on:

    • Climate change
    • Reproductive rights
    • Trans rights

Is because too many Black folk are denied the right to vote. Focus on that instead of your pet issue.

@realtegan @sidereal @mekkaokereke @mickeleh Michigan recently codified no-excuse permanent absentee ballots. I haven’t voted in person since before the pandemic.
