I’ve been thinking about making a mini-documentary about #OpenStreetMap. It’d great to have documentary style content for my business and we’d be able to get more people aware of OSM. I’m not entirely sure what the story would be 🤔
I have finally finished mapping the section of the map I was working on since December for my personal project. If I've understood #JOSM correctly, I've added about 800 buildings to this section. I don't recall the exact number of buildings here before I started but I'll assume about 10% of what is currently mapped.
I'll probably take a small break from mapping in #southafrica and focus some more on validating tasks in #ireland.
Really happy with the progress I've made thus far. When I started in December, 90% of these buildings were non-existent. There is still a lot left to do though.
I'll have another progress update on my #OpenStreetMap User Diary tomorrow.
Finally got back to mapping some more of my home town in #southafrica
I've been slowly adding buildings as there are almost none in certain areas. However, I decided to work on fixing some things in a local park and cemetery (adding some missing details etc.)
I go by governorkeagan and have been mapping since November last year. A lot of my mapping is done on my phone using @everydoor - I use @josmeditor for bigger edits
I'm currently working with the community in #Ireland to help get all the buildings in Ireland mapped!
I also have a side personal project to map my home town in #SouthAfrica. It had next to no buildings mapped before I started.
I created this account just for my mapping related content.
