I grew up in Iowa, and I live in a large Ohio city now. There are barely any LGBT folks in Iowa, even per capita, it’s just not normal or accepted there en mass. There was literally only one gay kid in my high school of 1500.

I move to Cleveland, then I meet more LGBT people than I have ever seen in my life, even having 4 lesbians in my workplace and one FTM.

But social media is probably the biggest driving factor behind the rise of so many LGBT people in the past decade.

Have you tried taking a loan out on anything lately? Minimum 8% interest rate for someone with the best credit score imaginable. I know doctors and engineers who refuse to buy a house right now because we had an incompetent senior citizen decide to hand out free money several times when the country was shut down and burn money on pointless foreign conflicts that we have absolutely no business being in. This country was prospering when Trump was in office and it will when he’s reelected next year.

I did, and it’s just a list of him spending exorbitant amounts of tax payer money on the most random infrastructure projects. Bidens like the grandparent who goes out of their way to spoil their grandkids, there’s nothing wrong with it up to a certain limit, but if we just let them be in charge of our finances we’re all screwed. A Republican presidency is necessary to balance out the overspending of a liberal socialist president.

Are you more scared of a fascist president who’s intent on limiting your natural rights or trump because he said a scary word like vermin.

I’m simply a centrist constitutionalist, which is the farthest thing from a fascist.

I’m not going to vote for a president that consistently attacks my right to bear arms with a new law anytime a mass shooting pops off.

And I’m not willing to vote for a president that keeps on funding Israels genocide on Palestinians. Trump has already said he wouldn’t get involved in any foreign conflicts which is much more than Biden has done thus far.

I rarely use Wikipedia as a source, but this boils it down so well. Europeans & Asian countries have practiced homosexuality for centuries, we (Africans & Middle Easterners) do not practice this, nor do we encourage our children to go out and seek an LGBT life so there is no closets they need to come out of.

I think it’s more critical of how the politicians have decided to spend tax payer money, and how there haven’t been any guardrails put in place to prevent male prisoners from abusing this program and transferring to female prisons to sexually assault them.

No but the fact that 2.2 Million Dollars is about to be spent this year on transgender care for prisoners while they can’t even provide basic dental care is interesting and quite sad for such a socialist state.

Sadly the sexual assault and violence is happening from the people abusing this program and transferring to womens prisons. Tax payer dollars should not be spent for any gender transitioning care, I will always support an adults right to do what they wish on their own dime, but this, and forcing parents to transition their kids is where the Democratic party lost me.

Sharing a housing unit with men has led to Nadia experiencing panic attacks, insomnia, and self-harm ideation. Nadia filed a grievance describing an incident where she was grabbed by a man in her unit informing the prison of her heightened risk of rape and violence from male offenders; the prison’s response referred to men in her unit as “transgender females.” Nadia does not believe that sex is determined by a person’s internal identity. Nadia is a Catholic whose faith is deeply important to her, and whose religious practice is impaired by being placed in an intimate setting with unrelated men.
    1. Plaintiff Krystal Gonzalez (“Krystal”) is a female offender currently incarcerated in Central California Women’s Facility. Krystal was sexually assaulted by a man transferred to her unit under S.B. 132. Krystal filed a grievance and requested single-sex housing away from men; the prison’s response to Krystal’s grievance referred to her assault by a “transgender woman with a penis.” Krystal does not believe that women have penises, and she the psychological distress caused by her assault is exacerbated by the prison’s refusal to acknowledge the sex of her perpetrator.
    1. Plaintiff Janine Chandler (“Janine”) is a female offender currently incarcerated in Central California Women’s Facility. Janine is an observant Muslim whose right to privacy and right to exercise her religion are both violated when she is housed in facilities with men. She is also a survivor of domestic violence.
