Am I the only one that gets frustrated websites and especially webapps are not usable on mobile devices?

I mean... how long has the smartphone been around? In digital history terms for aeons?

And still there are websites and apps that their developers seem not to use on their phones....

@heiglandreas I absolutely agree. As an example, I’ve been using Google My Maps to plan an upcoming trip with a custom map. It works great on desktop, but it’s painfully hard to use on mobile. 😞

So the Digital Markets Act talks about interoperability between different Messenger Apps. Like WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal et al.

If only there was an extendable messaging and presence protocol that all those apps could use....

But I'm sure they will eventually find one!

Hey @phpstan gurus: Is this (https://phpstan.org/r/aa4ffbf7-1613-46a7-b215-1d8a5bafce8a) expected behaviour?

I thought I specified all the relevant infos but somehow the array-values get mixed up....

This btw worked with PHPStan 1.9 IIRC

I'm hesitating to declare that a bug as I'm not 100% sure whether that's expected outcome... (though I didn't expect it)

(the function setup is legacy...)

So I'll visit my family briefly tomorrow. And I decided to take the car instead of public transport. But after checking options and it came out to 3 hours there and back instead of 7 and having to take the car anyhow for the first 10km at least ...

Oh! Did I mention leaving home at 6 instead of 8 in the morning?

Them: Try to reply to my email inline as well ... using Microsoft Outlook....

No citation indentation, signature before content of email, in essence on first sight an email consisting of "Dear Mr. Heigl - Kind regards"

Required a phone call to realize that they replied inline - underneath the signature (where the papertrail starts).

Thank you Microsoft for killing email

@heiglandreas @aishasie I guess that not unnecessary paper trail is soecond in wasted data transfer but „reply to all“ mails when not needed ….

@heiglandreas Yeah, this is part of why I'm glad chat communication is so much more normal these days, saves a ton of one liner emails with ever growing papertrails that just get lost anyway. 😅

German is weird. But I think other languages as well...

I mean... Usually you can add a questionmark after a sentence or even a word...

Though it looks like that doesn't work with "coffee"....

@heiglandreas When someone addresses me with "coffee?" I'd answer "No, I'm Claudio."

If I get the question "coffee?" While someone is showing me a cup of coffee, I'd answer "I know".

Just like in the Zucker, Abrahams and Zucker movies. 😄
