Writer, walker, atheist, cinema lover, hobby musician, science junkie, perpetual maths student, cricket fan, chess patzer. I post about new music a LOT! #Music#NewMusic
So. I’m still thinking of getting a new Honda CRF300L (Pictured). But probably not until after the winter.
And I’m still considering playing cricket next season.
I’ll be 60 going on 20 in April 2024. Thinking about writing about returning to Enduro bikes and cricket at 60. There can’t be many people who have done that 🤪
Talking my car to the crash repair place this morning to get it evaluated. I don’t think they’ll keep it today, but rather will work out how much work is needed and when they can do it.
If I can get tickets for The Beaches Toronto gigs, I'm going to go to Toronto for a holiday in November. I'll go to the gigs, Niagara Falls, Sarnia* and a few other places within easy travelling distance of Toronto.
Is anyone else in the “trough of disillusionment” part of the Generative AI hype cycle yet? The stuff they output is not good. It takes longer to fix it than writing articles from scratch, IMHO.
Maybe it's a function of caring about the results.
The current iteration of the iPhoneOS Apple Music app is the buggiest I can recall using. I regularly have to force quit it to get to play the next track on a playlist.
🤷🏻♂️
Can’t give it up. I need Dolby Atmos in my life. Plus my sunk cost in Apple Music isn’t a fallacy.
Then buy a decent used Mini hatchback when I've saved up the cash. That will probably be in late 2024 or mid-2025. No shortage of used Mini models at https://www.usedcarsni.com.
The Aces and The Beaches have a lot in common! Each has a set of sisters, each has LGBTQ+ members. I'm joined by members of each group, Cristal & Alisa from The Aces, and Leandra & Jordan from The Beaches. We have a discussion about taking up space, fans trying to get celebrities to come out, dealing with homophobic "fans" and more!
I hope this sells well. I won’t buy it, I didn’t get very far into S2 of Ted Lasso, but I’d like physical releases of other AppleTV+ films and show. Such as CODA and Severance.
Just seen 12 runs scored of a single ball. Never seen that before.
Bowler messed up a delivery and the ball bounced twice. That’s a no ball: 2 runs and a free hit.
The batter is still allowed to hit the no ball. He hit it for 4. Total of 6.
A no ball must be bowled again. And it’s a free hit which means the batter can’t be out directly from that ball (they can be run out). Anyway, the batter hit the free hit for 6.
Wolfram live stream their language design sessions. Some of the discussions get salty. Such as Stephen Wolfram telling people he doesn’t like something. A new one has just started. They are also available on demand.
Have I mentioned how much I like the Netflix Geek Girl adaptation?
I think I must have.
It’s fab. Two episodes to go. I hope it has enough viewers to trigger a second season. 😊
Also, read the books. They are brilliant. If you think you are not in the target demographic, just ignore that. They are brill stories and have characters from teens to pensioners. I reread all six last year. Bloody marvellous 😊
