My challenge today is to get my visitor count to 2000.

We still have some squash flowers. I am not sure if they will have time to produce a squash before it gets to cold.

I am looking for a good video editing program. I am trying to get away from using Adobe products. For my photography I use Affinity photo. But they don't have a video software. Does anyone have a video editing software they enjoy and which does not require monthly subscriptions?
Thanks

Today I need a coffee pool to jump in. At 2 am I woke up to one of my night owls taking a shower and could not get back to sleep. I have a busy Monday ahead of me and need to be alert.

The green peas are always a hit or miss. If the weather gets to hot they will not do so well. Today we came out to see a some blooming.

Spring in New Jersey this year is really wet and cooler than we have seen for quite some time. Often we go right from cold to super hot. The plants love it.

The bronze fennel has little squirt tails. At least that is what they remind me off. Some already have butterfly eggs on them.

Today will be a rainy day for us here in South Jersey. I went out with the dogs to take a few macros of our gorgeous clover flowers.

I love the structure of the Clemente flower stamen. It looks like a fountain, a bit architectural.

I love pushing the abstraction in my macro work. It creates a fun modern contemporary style. What do you think?

Recently been thinking about the importance of literally building community. The best way to combat -isms is by simply knowing more different people, and the best way to make that happen is to create physical and digital spaces that put us in more casual and friendly interactions with more people.

Public transit/walkable cities build this; highways and stroads literally divide neighborhoods.

Geographically based federated social networks are another excellent opportunity for this.

How else?

irisRichardson,

@nix Yes physical spaces more so than online ones. The town I live in now has no true public spaces to meet up regularly without having to spend money. There are the parks off course but no true hangout where folks can gather and just get to know each other. Someone mention a public living room. That is an interesting concept.

irisRichardson,

@seachanger @nix The public libraries are normally rather small and you are suppose to be quiet. I never feel like I can be quiet myself in those places.
