LB: looking back at ICQ, it's so wild that I used to "random chat" people, expecting to have fun platonic conversations with interesting people--and actually did?? I remember two people in particular:

  1. Cactus. Name Jon, was from Australia, very funny. This is literally all I remember about him. Hope he's doing well.
  2. Don't remember his handle or name, but he was my age and working in California, maybe at JPL? He had skipped high school entirely, which I didn't know you could do...

@qristy wild. And so cool. Totally this. Random people in chat rooms (safely, with the knowledge that they can be anyone), across the world. Mindblowing. I don't think a lot of younger people realize how big that was. From the rise of color TV, phones, all of it is so expensive at first. And now phones all have data plans. And we can get online when someone is using the phone ๐Ÿ˜‚ and they're in our pockets. Tech moves fast but slow.

A couple of people have asked, since my recent instance change, about what I'm playing - musically speaking. Recently, I've been just messing around for a couple of hours, no more than 3-4 takes, and no previous idea of what I was going to do. Usually on a Sunday morning. As you can imagine it can vary in success widely but I'm also trying to learn how to record myself, get better at playing, everything really ... Here is a recent one.

It's provocatively entitled "240121 Song 4".

@Rob haha yeah, me as well. Mostly bass, but meddling in guitar. My 2 good friends growing up were (and still are) amazing guitar players so I learned a lot from them, luckily.

Started up a new necro for the new season of Diablo IV (Loot Reborn). Got her up to almost level 20 in just a couple hours (playing Veteran). Been using the Sever build (https://maxroll.gg/d4/build-guides/sever-necromancer-leveling-guide).

Game's always fun as hell for someone who just dabbles around in it like I do.
