@pcambra I can't log in with the mastodon app. Is something wrong with the drupal.community server? (I've even tried sending myself the password to make sure it's not a typo.)

I really want a tool that I can just say 'tag next release' to, and it figures out by looking at git what the next release tag should be and makes it. Does anything exist to do that? (cc @mglaman)

New release of Action Link module lets you put the links directly into field formatters, and the field value updates with AJAX as well as the link. https://www.drupal.org/project/action_link

@openstreetmap is there a way to make contour lines more visible? I find it very hard to see them in any of the map layers.

What's the generic term for keywords in like 'static', 'public', 'final', etc?

Script to switch a contrib module from a fixed package to a Composer path repository that's a git clone: https://gist.github.com/joachim-n/4f1c046d61a68384c416eb806a904249 Longer-term plan: make this a addon that runs . @ddev

What's a good strategy for developing tests when you need to run them on the feature branch and ALSO the main branch (so you can check they pass/fail respectively). I'm trying to keep two test branches in sync with cherry-picks and it's horribly faffy.

@organicmaps has been HUGELY useful for both planning and while away on holiday. I've downloaded maps of where we were going for offline use, so I can navigate without data or wifi. I've used it to find shops, playparks, restaurants, ice cream, and drinking water. With the bookmark feature I can make lists of useful spots ahead of time. I've filed LOTS of bugs in their issue queue because I'm a nitpicker and a magnet for bugs, but it's because I think it's a fantastic app with huge potential!

Really nice #Drupal module for creating multi-valued form elements in config forms: https://www.drupal.org/project/multivalue_form_element Developed by the @EU_Commission!

Released a new command for switching a module installed in a project to a git clone install, so you can fix bugs and test MRs in the context of the project: https://github.com/joachim-n/drupal-project-contrib-development Please try it and report any problems!

tip - download your gas usage data from your supplier BEFORE disconnecting your gas account, as in my case EDF have deleted it, so I can't compare my energy usage before and after the heat pump :(

I desperately need a plain text editor for MacOS that's good enough for things like git rebase, but isn't an IDE. That used to be TextMate, but it's buggy these days.

Saw in a bookshop that there's a new edition of Iain M. Banks' books. The spines all form a single motif, which is a nice touch, but also a sad reminder that he's dead and there'll be no more books.

Using @organicmaps to prepare my holiday itinerary - saving places to a bookmark list, downloading offline maps to my tablet. It's really great -- would be even better if I could order the bookmarks manually.

Really not keen on commerce adding a 'Commerce inbox' item to the admin toolbar.

Why does an app having an update pending make it run like crap? Anytime starts to be slow, it'll be because it's got an update ready to install. Similarly if my mac starts running like crap, it'll be Firefox, , or which have an update. What causes the slowdown?

Web developers who make things that generate PDFs, tickets for trains and events for instance - please PLEASE PLEASE make the PDF filename USEFUL. The destination. The venue. My name. Not 'ticket.pdf' or a meaningless string of junk. MAKE IT USEFUL.

They changed this at the top of UK passports post-#brexit to satisfy the gammon, didn’t they?

The other day I was running tests on one of my contrib modules, and got a deprecation warning for a trait in #Drupal core that had been renamed. And my first thought was, 'Who the hell has been farting around renaming damn test traits, and what the hell for?'
Readers, it was me. I'd filed the issue to rename that test trait.

Controversial opinion - I miss the Algorithm. For instance, I follow the very nice @PersevereImgBot but it's a bit spammy. I'd like it if it didn't appear to much, or only the posts that get traction. What if Mastodon had its own version of the Algorithm? Or more than one, so you could pick your favourite, or indeed, write your own. And all open-source and documented.
