Discovered the existence of the Land Drover Llama this weekend (in the corporate end of Melbourne CBD, no less.)

What an amazing vehicle, a factory cab-on-engine Land Rover lorry (that looks - accurately - like someone cut and folded a regular Series Land Rover body to make the cab.

Fantastic #MetroTrains data representation bug. This screen on our train shows a nonsense sequence of stations from all over Melbourne. It's updating as we leave Parliament (which it showed as Patterson), and it's actually going through to Melbourne Central (it shows Mitcham), Flagstaff, Southern Cross (it shows Sunshine) Flinders Street.

So there's a data format somewhere that looks up stations by first letter abbreviations. Somewhere else there's a similar data format, that uses different abbreviations...

even after owning land rovers myself since 1996 and growing up with them as family cars I still encounter shit that shows me how little I really know. TIL that there are two different ways to mount the door hinges on a SIIA land rover. From Mar 1958 - Oct 1969 its all the same, then BAM - new way dickheads!
