@Suoko I did not but I will install and try Kinemaster to see how it works on this device. Will let you know. Anything I should look for, aside from crashes?
Hmmm so do I replace my perfectly functional and happy-making Ubuntu installation with Pop OS, given that (1) I love the Pop tiling feature and (2) I like arsing around with distros?
Not a fan of the companyās founder butā¦ today is our 1 year #Tesla-versary. My wife and I are work from home empty nesters now, so we downsized from 2 cars (2019 RAV4 & 2018 Leaf) to one last year. I have my #motorcycle available if I canāt use the car, which is rare.
Overall, our expectations were exceeded. It cost us around $269 in electricity to drive 6,956 miles in 12 months. Zero maintenance costs. Zero complaints.
@davezatz š¤·āāļø Actually, weāre the complete opposite: Zero charging via super charger so far.
We charge at home, no more than 16A, which gets us 16 miles of range per hour. And never more than 90% capacity. Donāt need speedy charging for our meager driving habits and fast charging will increase battery degradation time over the lifespan.
š blog post -- How to use Android App Streaming on Chromebooks
After announcing #Android app streaming on #Chromebooks in early 2022, the feature is finally here. Or at least it is for a few select Android phones. Hereās how to use Android app streaming on a #Chromebook and what the experience is like. Iām still not sold on it being that useful for me, but I realize that many others will be thrilled when it comes to their Android phone.
@amoroso Gotcha. Itās not uncommon for Google to announce a ChromeOS feature that doesnāt arrive in a main version upgrade but later in a āpointā upgrade a week or two later. I suspect thatās going to be the case here.
š video with thoughts on how we approached downsizing as part of our #minimalism lifestyle and why.
Much of it comes down to asking if you have "enough" already. That question has changed my life for the better since I started asking it several years ago. āļø
@mako Did the same last night and it took me all of 2 minutes to close the app. I decided to keep my account, mainly to surface my content but, as I found out last night, itās still useful for identity.
I realized that Google had a knowledge panel for me and one of the ways to claim it was using two different social networks. Twitter was an option; Mastodon was not. So it came in handy for my claim.
@baldur During the keynote, I was chatting with another indie web publisher. I said, āThis is going to effectively kill our business model given how much traffic we rely upon from Google Search todayā.
Thanks for sharing this article; it makes a similar point, among many other good ones. Glad Iāve been preparing for a new career! š¤
@backlon I gave them a goā¦. Twice with a several year break in between. Iām sure they work well for some but my brain couldnāt adapt to the ānow use this eyeās image primarilyā approach. Glasses since age 9, glasses likely until age 99 for me.
@kevinctofel Another option for smart open-only (tilt, not cord-raise) horizontal blinds. Sunsa Wands. I picked up 2 when they were in development and then 4 more as they went into general production:
My Google Wifi Pro 6E keeps disconnecting every now and then (~once a week). I am going to see if Costco can take it back, but Iād like to hear thoughts on what everyone likes these days as a 6E mesh system. #Google#GoogleWifi#mesh#router#6E#eero#tplink
