I’ve now acquired a BASIC XE cart and manual!! It was my favorite Atari 8-bit programming language.

Check out this ad for the Atari 400 and 800 in January 1980 issue of Byte magazine. I had no idea the 800 came with a cassette drive.

What was your favorite programming language for the Atari ST? For me it was Pascal.

@amoroso Thanks, typo fixed. Not sure the Lisp variant as it was a long time ago, but it would have been running on some flavor of Unix.

Not sure my shoulders would ever forgive me if I started playing cricket again. I had rotator cuff pain in both for years. Especially the right shoulder due to playing and bowling when injured. Excruciating at some points. It used to go numb after a few balls at the start of a bowling spell. Which probably wasn’t ideal.

The things we do for cricket 😊

I was never good enough batting to play as a batter. Watching others play with a pint from the pavilion probably a more sensible option.

@ianRobinson I feel you. I had to retire from men’s baseball a few years ago because of various elbow ailments. Watching is more fun now…

Expect many more cancellations of current shows that are between seasons.

There has been too much television being made to feed the streaming machine recently.

With everything stopped due to the strikes and the pressure to cut costs, bean counters will take the opportunity to cut many more shows.

The Peripheral reportedly cancelled. I never got round to watching S1.

I’ll be stunned if Foundation gets the multiple seasons the creators have discussed.

@ianRobinson I really like The Peripheral. Foundation season 2 is at least 10x better than season 1.
