As someone who has done charity gaming for over 10 years and was deep in that space at one point, I just now came to realize how steeped in capitalism and wastefulness the whole endeavor is.

Went to get my oil changed in my car again today.

Still haven't gotten it changed, but this was the closest I've gotten.

Today I found out that it will cost me $130 at my local place.

The main reasons are because my car uses fancy synthetic oil only AND Hyundai/Kia have switched to this weird paper filter that has to be ordered from them.

It's good to know my dealership wasn't fucking me over, it was the auto manufacturer!

Today's sad realization:

My wife and I came to the same conclusion that my latest activity in the streets along with previous online activity may hinder me from future employment.

To be fair, I haven't been the smartest in hiding my identity because I didn't really care.

I still don't care.

But it is hurting other people because I chose to live free of the system.

Good morning!

Spent an amazing afternoon and evening with students, staff, and faculty at UNC Chapel Hill at their Gaza encampment!

It was so awe inspiring to see how well the students were organized and how many people were conversing, talking about the issues, helping each other out!

It really goes to show that a community can thrive when it isn't based on capitalism but communal support!

It is a future I have dreamed about and believe we can achieve!

Might I suggest looking into open source alternatives.
