Getting a panda engraved on my AirPods Pro case has turned out to be a good decision. It brings a tiny smile to my face every time I look at it ☺️🐼

@simonbs Also, it does make them easier to tell apart whenever you’re around folks who also have AirPods Pro (that’s the correct Apple-blessed marketing speak plural, right? Or was it “AirPod Pros” 🤔🙃)

Personally, I always used to be firmly in the “don’t engrave my stuff” camp, but have come to realise that AirPods cases, Pencil and AirTags definitely benefit from that!

Plus the touch of personality is just so nice! I kinda wish mine were engraved now 🦄

Just listening to the “iPadOS 17 Wishes” @appstories episode and must say that @viticci’s suggestion for Spotlight extensions would make me so happy 🥹

Maybe as be part of / without even (much) extra work to be done by devs? Essentially “just” expose intents in Spotlight with a more interactive UI, allowing to directly type in parameters (Raycast-style) and other kinds of rich interactions without leaving ? 🤔

@nmn @viticci @appstories Yes, exactly! Compared to Raycast, for example, you currently cannot enter any parameter inputs straight from Spotlight. That feature is such a game changer IMO.

Or imagine being able to have disambiguation flows and other types of input methods right in the Spotlight UI itself (similar to how the Siri UI has special ways to represent these interactions when running a shortcut from Siri).

Just noticed that I had Low Data Mode enabled. I don’t know when I enabled it, why I enabled, or for how long it has been enabled. I wonder how many small frustrations have been caused by this setting though 🤦‍♂️

@simonbs Something travel-related maybe? (E.g. in case you added some kind of international package to your existing mobile plan and wanted to save data abroad?).

I put my US-eSIM on Low Data mode during the trip, but left my European plan on “Standard” (with Data Roaming Disabled). This way, I made sure, I couldn't forget reverting it after returning. Without a separate (e)SIM and only limited international data on my main plan, this’d definitely happen to me!

I don’t update my profile pictures often, but ever since growing the ‘stash, people who meet me in real life often struggle to recognise me on old photos online, so I figured it’s time for an update 🥸

When I started it, I was like “Nah, it's just a phase. No point updating my pictures” but that “phase" has been going on for over a year now... 😅

Honestly if the rumors are true that the mute switch is going away for a multi-use switch, I’d welcome that in a heartbeat. I haven't taken my phone off mute since 2008 and a one-click button to open the camera? Sick
