Leaving this here, just in case someone like @fractalkitty or some other alien, ghost, or geek comes across some notion about doing palette cycling for a bit of change of pace, after having looked at Deluxe Paint: https://pulkomandy.tk/projects/GrafX2/downloads?order=platform&desc=

The first release of Internet Explorer (1995) is closer in time to the Apollo 11 moon landing (1969) than now.

mario,
@mario@mastodon.mariobreskic.de avatar

@zachleat I donʼt grok the intent when people relate time like that.
I assume a sinister outlook on life as the motivation behind this phrasing, like calling us machines or thinking that our minds are computers, that being alive is secretly a terrible thing to be, to which the speaker of such phrases is privy.

It is a lot like willingly caging/mazing someone elseʼs mind and then forcing them to accept their captor as savior. Sus. Snap out of it, you have neen caged yourself!

@codingconduct hey, is the doc at https://medium.com/@dingstweets/the-facebook-loophole-a39172e6496d the same which used to* exist at http://codingconduct.tumblr.com/post/91239582975/the-facebook-loophole ? Came across a reference to it in 978-3-658-18016-4 while just looking for references to tumblr in my library and found that interesting.

I also now have a mastobot that will toot a haiku every hour. Even if I live to be very old I won't see them all - there are ~730,000,000 haiku.

Major milestone: Leica is publicly launching the first camera with Content Credentials built-in.
The M11-P is not going to be your everyman's camera – but the M series Leica Camera AG has equipped author-photojournalists since Cartier-Bresson. I can't think of a crowd more keen on securing the trust the public can place in their photographs.

A weird bug with the Touch Type Tool in illustrator: When you change a letter of a SVG font, the color palette seems to swap to way brighter colours, I think sRGB values.

It causes me quite a bit of color "inflation" as every time I move a new version I'm thinking: Well, those brighter colors looks nice as well, let's change everything!

Don't mind the other bugs, such as the glyph deforming when rotating: Strangely, this sometimes goes fine!

Chocolate letters spelling the letters "T" and "A" which slightly change color when edited in Adobe Illustrator.

mario,
@mario@mastodon.mariobreskic.de avatar

@typearture ..truly weird. Am I understanding this glitch correctly that the sRGB profile is overwritten again with the proper profile after the transformation is complete?

mario,
@mario@mastodon.mariobreskic.de avatar

@typearture which version is this happening in? I am just curious about how and where things stop working

We would be greatful if you could amplify our voice & let your followers know that the Auschwitz Memorial is present in #fediverse: @auschwitzmuseum

Every day we commemorate the victims & educate about the tragic human history of #Auschwitz.

Auschwitz is a place that shows where hatred, antisemitism and contempt for a fellow man led people decades ago.

It is also a place where we should reflect on our individual and collective responsibility for the world we live in.

A former fellow student needs some tips for mockup sources: anyone know of alternatives to Mockup World or the now defunct DeviceFrames?

Thanking you on her behalf, since she is not hyperconnected.

mario,
@mario@mastodon.mariobreskic.de avatar

@airwhale I will pass it along to her, thanks for your reply and the time invested, Alphabet.

I personally prefer a Lanierian “web of trust”, so I know that you can vouch for the quality of DesignCuts.
I find that is a huge bonus to be able to contact the designers themselves, since I believe that products/mockups that appeal to “most situations” are secretly hinting at the actual value the designers offer, if you can see what I am hinting at ;)

On behalf of her, thank you.
