Save the recipes you like that you found online because in a matter of months or weeks they will be drowned out by chat gpt generated recipes that looks plausible but don't work, and have taken up the first 20 pages of search results.

I can't even imagine what recipes that thing could make up but I'm sure they'd be plausible enough to waste a lot of people's time.

I’ve been struggling to spend much time on Mastodon lately because my feed is >50% discussion of Bluesky

Seeing them makes me feel a terrible cocktail of:

  • FOMO for not having an invite
  • Confusion over why everyone cares so much all of a sudden
  • Fear that the wonderful community I’ve found here on Masto in the last 6 months will die because everyone will leave
  • Existential dread over the immense difficulty of managing a community-governed social media platform

It’s been tough 😖

I’m deeply scared that if Mastodon becomes an empty graveyard of abandoned accounts I will have to mask again

I don’t want to mask again. Professionally or personally

I’ve never been more comfortable in my own skin or so successful professionally

I’ve never had such an easy time meeting new people or making new friends

All because Mastodon showed me how many successful people were also neurodivergent weirdos like me.

That I could be myself and live a good life. And that being me was good.

My husband and I were just talking about him last night and how much this one horrible individual has harmed the entire country and a lot of the world.

We personally know people who used to be friends and then got radicalized by his show.
