Things that make me angry about my current smartphone Samsung Galaxy S21Ultra on a Verizon plan is the mandatory software updates in which they install WITHOUT MY PERMISSION stupid apps like Netflix and addictive gambling games and stacking block games and Candy crush. God knows what else they install without my permission. I...
I stopped playing them. I used to do it for many hours/week but just quit cold turkey a year ago. There are more interesting things to do with a computer.
I am trying to block all connections to microsoft ip addresses. I only occasionaly boot windows and don’t want it phoning home. I tried disabling the net interfaces in device manager but windows just re-enables them and send god only knows what back to their servers. I don’t like relying on disconnecting the ethernet cable...

I have the OS (with docker) mirrored too. So no reinstalling, just disk or other parts swapping in case of a failure. I hope. A mothboard swap is the worst downtime. I have done this and needed to fiddle with network settings due to changed net interface name to get the server up again.
Update: I installed CS:GO and it runs insanely smooth. Metro didnt start at all. I now have cycled through many compatibility options and tried proton experimental, latest and now linux runtime. Now it works on solid 60 fps!...
