I've created my own Mastodon instance (fava.com.au) because I got tired of anonymous instance landlords compliantly deleting my toots when Zionists reported my anti-Zionist opinions. Slowly rebuilding my Mastodon community. I live in Melbourne. I follow people sympathetic to my world view. Translation: if you're a Zionist, you don't belong here. Go away.

The current American threats to sanction the ICC could spell the death of International Law. Whatever little hope people had for a just international system will disappear.

@mondoweiss @palestine @israel Israel has painted itself into a dark pariah corner. America is compliantly being dragged with it. It seems like the powerful simply cannot comprehend how far off course they have wandered. This is a turning point.

timrichards, to food

Something I've noticed about restaurants in this cost of living crisis... if it's an existing restaurant, it'll put up prices but feel the need to have some continuity with their previous prices.

If it's a new restaurant replacing an old one, they just jump straight to high prices, the $35 bowls of pasta etc. And I never pass through their doors.

@timrichards Yep. With all the shit going on in the world today, I feel guilty spending more than $20 on a restaurant meal. $25 per cover tops. No alcohol. So it's Vietnamese mostly for us these days. Bonus. Also, I've stopped eating fish in restaurants entirely. Things have changed. I don't know how the "fine dining" restaurants are continuing to stay in business. There must be more wealthy people with ample discretionary spending capability out there than I thought.
