I couldn't imagine being in a cramped space 2.5 miles under the sea with 4 other people waiting for that time. Horrific comes to mind but I don't think there is an adequate word for it.
In 2021/22, besides Ted Lasso and Severance, there wasn’t really any really good TV shows that got me hooked, this has massively changed in 2023 and I’m almost exclusively watching it at the moment....

Um. Yeah. Taking a break from it for a few days during the blackout. Checking out the fediverse and am loving lemmy, pixelfed, and mastodon. Just joined kbin today but am a bit confused about it because I haven't found a mobile app that supports it. There are a ton of subreddits that I am missing incredibly, but you know it'll be all right. I'm hoping lemmy grows a bit, but not too big. I just enjoy a string of random posts.
I love having full control over my music files, but one of the major pain points is moving between applications. Say I start using plex, get real comfy with my playlists, then one day I decide to try out Jellyfin. Sure, I still have all my music on there, but none of my playlists....
I've been a Plex user for the past 6 years. I'm fairly happy with it, but have always been interested in Jellyfin. From posts I've read in the past, people say it's not as polished as plex. I dl'd and installed jellyfin to my nas yesterday, but haven't had a chance to play around with it. I do have a small-mediumish music library that in the past i've tried several methods (plex, google music [at the time], synology DS Audio] of using the random generator to listen to my music library - with i'm sad to report i found repetative. Just curious about others insights to Jellyfin and how it's worked for them.
I always felt that part of the allure of Reddit was that it was semi-anonymous. Now that I see they're taking the route of Facebook and the like I'm running for the door.
After watching many episodes of the Three Stooges, having a buddy light a jumping jack in my back right pocket. I was like 7 or 8. Needless to say 44 years later the scar remains. And yes it hurt like hell and the healing process (band aids sticking to the burn) is something I will remember forever.
I don't know. The GUI is prettier. Notepad & File Explorer have tabs now. What got me is that a few years ago I had to edit a spreadsheet that had over 12,000 columns and at the time Libre Office couldn't do it. So I bought a seat of 365 and now I'm here. I do miss Ubuntu though. The other thing is that my day job uses windows exclusively and I felt that since I was using ubuntu at home for 12+ years I needed to brush up on my windowsisms.
Im joining in on the reddit ditching thing, and was kinda worried at first that i wouldnt be able to like use it the way i did reddit as it feels like a whole new place, but after engaging with posts and people and actually being a part of lemmy rather than being lurk mode all the time i was pleasantly surprised with how easy it...
The Reddit exodus caused by this regrettable API policy change that kills 3rd party apps, has left many of us without the subs we grew to love. r/espresso is one of these subs for me, but it wasn't on Lemmy. I created this community in the hopes that we'll get a Lemmy c/espresso going strong....
This looks tasty! I have to admit that I am not an espresso guy. I have had a few in my years but do not stalk Starbucks. Coffee black or with 2 creams and 2 sugars for me please. Although if I did have an espresso maker I probably would use it on the weekends.

for the Reddit refugees, do you also feel a bit heartbroken?
For me it feels like breaking up with someone after many years. At the same time, I feel a bit dirty mentioning the name in the post title.
