A good reason to use colour rather than color in your code is that colour has the same number of letters as both albedo and normal so you can align your code better.

I don't get why IHVs hide their tools within layers of security and identity validation steps, that then don't work as intended and prevent developers from using those tools. What are they trying to protect?
On the other hand, AMD's approach is so refreshing.

@castano My assumption is that devrel folks have a hard time showing impact for career progression, and tracking all relationships in this way allows them to show value to superiors.
Until eventually we all stop using VTune as soon as someone writes something vaguely superior that can just be run like a standard portable app, and then they panic.

@NOTimothyLottes @neilhenning @castano This whole thread is PTSD from all the early GCN ISA work we did over ten years ago. (We also have/had a GDS based work distributor, to your earlier post, Tim.) I put together a presentation with a 24 page handout for it and gave it at various ATVI studios as well as Bungie, I wonder if I'll ever be allowed to post it publicly some day. Lots of stuff that Wade, Paul Edelstein, and Johan Kohler worked through.

I can't be the only one that constantly has Time Machine on my mac fuck up doing backups. It's stuck in the Preparing to Backup -> YOU DIDN’T DO A BACKUP loop again.

I have a strong dislike for magic in software, especially when there isn't a fallback button to force something to happen and/or tell me why the fuck it can't. ARGH.

It's a little weird that "QuickTime Player" is still a thing. Who remembers QuickTime as a thing outside of us old people who lived back in the days before h.264 won? I should rename it "Smacker Player" or something.

Also it's a bit weird that it doesn't support modern features like... advance 30s, reverse 15s, etc. I feel the same way when I'm listening to music in the Apple ecosystem and want to use podcast style +/- time features to relisten to something, when I'm pedantically pointing out how great Nas is to my children.
