The new fighting event seemed really hard. Like I could barely get the first level of jades for most challenges. But today I went back and tried again, and now I've got perfect scores on every one except Imaginary. Will try knocking that one out tomorrow.

This event required some unusual thinking to get through.

In general, I'm against making luxury items from crocodile skin. It seems wasteful and cruel.

But I'll make an exception for anyone who kills the croc with their bare hands and then fashions something from the remains personally, because that's just metal.

Good morning and Happy Solstice to my friends who celebrate!

This morning had a little scare. Driving into the office just a half a mile from home hit some black ice and skidded for a bit. Thank goodness for anti-lock breaks.

However, I grew up learning to drive on cars without anti-lock breaks. So, my instinct is to pump the breaks on black ice...which I have to fight when I drive a newer vehicle with anti-lock breaks.

Good morning and happy Tuesday!

Last night I was up late playing Santa, i.e. wrapping all the presents for my kids. 4 kids for Christmas means a lot of wrapping. Me & my wife split the kids down the middle and, yea, pretty even in terms of number of gifts. So, that's good.

If you celebrate, are you all prepped for Christmas? Do you have all your gifts wrapped / bought?

Finished reading Interviews with Monster Girls. Bittersweet. The anime was one of the first i watched, and it really drew me into the medium. (And was one of the first series I blogged about.) The story was weakest when doing science (though still interesting), and strongest with the relationships and world building. I wanted more of those.

Gotta love the armor in this game. Over the last day, in the interest of stat maxing, I've replaced my character's:

  • shirt with a metal bikini top
  • helmet with a bandana
  • combat pants with a thigh-long skirt

This is supposed to protect her better how, exactly?
