@esther I'm all for screwing over the greedy, but this will also screw over the non-profit presses who are struggling to survive and who form the backbone of the academic publishing world.

If they disappear, so does peer review. So consider supporting non-profit academic publishers.

@esther I'm not sure what you mean by peer review and academic publishing depending on SH. When I was in ac publishing, I oversaw the peer review of thousands of books, and never once did we make use of SH.

I miss having friends to talk to about hearthstone competitive stuff, the one friend I had moved on from HS and having retired almost entirely from reddit means no more /r/competitivehearthstone discourse so I'm kind of on my own and it Lowkey sucks lol

Western entertainment: "OK, the talking tree and the gun-toting racoon have to help stop the purple giant from getting the glowing stones glued to his hand because." (Makes no sense.)

: "The girl is smiling as she cuddles with the stuffed shark that is possessed by the soul of the boy she killed, whose real body is possessed by an ancient necromancer from another universe." (Also makes no sense, but for different reasons.)
