I had a friend who thought she had conquered the laundry. When I would talk about having so much to wash or fold she stated that she, her kids, and husband simply didn’t wash their clothes. Pants would be worn until they were visibly dirty. Shirts could be worn until they smelled. Not sure her philosophy on socks/underwear or towels.

Look. Live your life. But please wash anything that touches your bare skin. Even towels. All the dead skin, swear, oils… just…

I admit her logic is sound. Won’t be no laundry if you don’t consider anything dirty.

Her kids also only bathed 1-2 times a week. Then wore a shirt 3-5 times before she considered it dirty…

Granted, I’m messy. Everything has a spill on it by the end of the day.

@renwillis the thing I don’t understand about all this is does WENDYs really feel like THEY have the brand capital for this right now? Are things going so good for them that they think “let’s do it, let’s just do it. It’s now or never. We’re at the TOP baby! It’s now or never!” 🎲

I’m not in the market for a new job. But I do have a little time & pent up aggression on my hands so I’m thinking about putting in some applications & having some interviews & being absolute chaos on wheels.

It’ll be my gift to the kids. Maybe someone will stop asking dumb interview questions.

@jemal it also thinks household chores are excercise. So if you scrub the kitchen sink or tubs it’s a run & folding towels is a swim. But I figured you might not be up for that.

I feel like I’ve talked about people immediately honking at the green a few times the last couple weeks & I’m gonna a do it some more. It’s my biggest traffic pet peeve. These people seem so unhappy. There was a woman in front of me the other day honking. She was still 4-6 cars back from the light. She did this at every stop. What an asshole. There’s a lot of young or nervous drivers. This doesn’t help. Also maybe calm down. They remind me of Billy Zane in Titanic trying to get on the life boat.

Was talking to my mom earlier & apparently there is always drama at her work. She starts telling me about an incident & one of the players is a trans woman. But she didn’t say anything rude & used she/her pronouns & always referred to her as a girl/woman.

Just not what I was expecting 😮‍💨

Let me also just say that the tea was hot. Like all the drama. Sex, mystery, security cameras, vandalism, investigations, bullying, harassment, threats of violence, & eventually someone got fired.

Last night I found a Nintendo DS that has been missing for over 10 years. It didn’t even turn up when we moved.

Guess where it was…

Exactly where I thought it was the whole time. The couch cushions.

We had a couch with attached cushions & I knew it was in there somehow. I was moving the couch last night & heard a rattle. I immediately knew what it was. I said screw it & cut open the liner on the bottom finally found the DS.

This wasn’t entirely fair. You can & should call 911. I called the office line because of certain details & I know there is already an open case & no one is in immediate danger.

As mentioned in another post, a girl is coming to stay with us for a week while her mom is out of town. It’s so chaotic. Her mom never confirmed she was staying here & literally last night after 10 finally mentioned any of the details to me. It’s fine. I offered. I didn’t want the girl to keep missing school staying with family out of state. So I have to get my guest area ready today & get ready for Halloween & also be a sleepy baby all day.

Embroidery is a tool of the patriarchy. It was used to keep women busy & discourage them from discussing current events.

I know this is true because if you’ve ever tried embroidery you’ll know that it is absolutely addictive & you can’t put it down & you become obsessed with little bits of string & it’s so silly because it’s now all you care about 🪡
