I had a friend who thought she had conquered the laundry. When I would talk about having so much to wash or fold she stated that she, her kids, and husband simply didn’t wash their clothes. Pants would be worn until they were visibly dirty. Shirts could be worn until they smelled. Not sure her philosophy on socks/underwear or towels.

Was talking to my mom earlier & apparently there is always drama at her work. She starts telling me about an incident & one of the players is a trans woman. But she didn’t say anything rude & used she/her pronouns & always referred to her as a girl/woman.

Just not what I was expecting 😮‍💨

Let me also just say that the tea was hot. Like all the drama. Sex, mystery, security cameras, vandalism, investigations, bullying, harassment, threats of violence, & eventually someone got fired.

Last night I found a Nintendo DS that has been missing for over 10 years. It didn’t even turn up when we moved.

Guess where it was…

Exactly where I thought it was the whole time. The couch cushions.

We had a couch with attached cushions & I knew it was in there somehow. I was moving the couch last night & heard a rattle. I immediately knew what it was. I said screw it & cut open the liner on the bottom finally found the DS.

As mentioned in another post, a girl is coming to stay with us for a week while her mom is out of town. It’s so chaotic. Her mom never confirmed she was staying here & literally last night after 10 finally mentioned any of the details to me. It’s fine. I offered. I didn’t want the girl to keep missing school staying with family out of state. So I have to get my guest area ready today & get ready for Halloween & also be a sleepy baby all day.

You know what I’ve been noticing at small businesses I frequent?
Many of them have started a 1-4% transaction charge for credit card purchases.
Yeah, you’ve always seen this a little, usually for minimum purchases. But in the last month I’ve seen it at at least 6 places. One that was now charging 4% is a place where it’s not uncommon for me to spend $200 at a time. At 4% that’s $8.
Inflation, tipping, service charges… y’all, I’m just gonna stay home & learn to cut my own hair.

Incarcerated pregnant people are not treated well. It’s appalling. Many of them go into labor & give birth alone. That’s IF there are not complications. It could be worse.

1: im doing no carbs. No sugar. Nothing.
2: really? Wow. Sugar is like in everything. Even marinara sauce.

1: [pulls out giant bags of beef jerky & pork rinds from his backpack] well, this right here is all protein. So this. All week 💪

Let me tell you an often overlooked reason why local elections matter.

Yes, local elections affect your day to day life more. ALSO many politicians start out in local elections. It may not matter where someone running for school board stands on [abortion, LGBT+, policing, etc], however, if you’re between 2 equally matched candidates, wouldn’t you rather start someone on the ladder who isn’t gonna fuck you over later?

So, I care how the guy running for dog catcher feels about lots of things.

Abusers sabotage birth control. They do this to control their partners. Having a baby with an abusers keeps you stuck with them (even if the relationship ends, they are still a parent you have to deal with). Losing access to abortion means many people are stuck in abusive situations because of reproductive coercion.
