Still testing positive after 10 days of testing and 17 days of feeling sick.
Fuck Covid. And Fuck Cancer.
Logged an incident report at work explaining how I got this infection from a maskless co-worker because I was forced to be onsite and they knew their partner had "a mystery cold" and could work from home whenever they want but chose to come in anyway.
@nikink Hope you feel better soon. Sadly, people think Covid is over. I was still testing positive after 12 days. My employer only wanted to give me 5 days off. The long #COVID brain fog is still with me and creating havoc in my life 3 yrs later.
Unfortunately the PCR result will be the only result on my medical record.
And today I return to work and one of my maskless coworkers tells me he was also off sick with covid last week, and laughing about giving it to me whilst denying it was him because "I can't prove shit" - as if anyone in my workplace would give a fuck even if I proved it beyond reasonable doubt by some magic or other.
Just a coincidence that he brought it to the office I'm forced to work from and he had several conversations about his wife's "flu" with me.
If only my employer was forced to provide clean air by some kind of workplace safety laws.
My manager just told the team "Just fyi covid is everywhere in our organization right now, including this building. Stay safe and wash your hands."
My manager revoked my WfH agreement last August. Mine alone, not anyone else's. Literally anyone else in my team and others can WfH at their discretion. My manager is nominally on-site at all times and for the last year or so has been, in fact, on-site only 2-3 mornings per week at most.
My manager refused to let me take the office that became available which had a window that opens and independent air conditioning. My manager took that office for themself. For 2-3 mornings a fucking week. Because they didn't like the office they chose for themself last year.
While I enjoy the cubicle farm affectionately named "the plague pit".
In my N95 respirator mask. Watching everyone else wash their hands occasionally and call in sick repeatedly.
@thepoliticalcat Same organization, different teams with different managers who both let their staff WfH 100% if they want to (and have no specific reason to be on site).
Getting into a fight with an ER Doctor was not on my valentine's day bingo card.
Also disheartened to hear a doctor claim there is literally nothing humans can do to prevent the spread of a virus. Seems he believes viruses are magical examples of spontaneous generation, like bees (allegedly) were to the ancient Greeks.
I'm curious how many times he has caught covid so far. He seems a bit brain damaged. But it wasn't really the time or place to ask.
