My mum is currently in ICU after an operation*, and had a new doctor on the rounds today.

His name is Dr Loki, apparently, and is a Very Good Doctor.

*Mum’s ok. She’s had reconstructive surgery having had cancer in her jaw, and having lost a good amount of it.

Only once, when I did a travel memoir, and those were the people involved in the travel. Otherwise, no. I have too much of a Cyrano mentality, and the nose, as well.

Slept okay, but only 8 hours which is short of what I need. I'll feel that this afternoon.

Have a appt with primary dr this morning. I've got my concerns and needs written down so hopefully nothing is forgotten. The office will give a flu shot.

I need to schedule myself for a covid booster. Hopefully one on a Friday to give me a weekend to recover. Covid shots have always provoked at least 24 hours of misery for me.

I've already had tea, a banana, and taken a shower.

Why is it lately I'm having so many dreams about me pitching baseball? Last night I dreamed I was trying to teach a young kid how to throw a curveball, how to snap the ball off the fingertips to make it spin hard and break sharply. I also wonder if my mind is connecting that somehow to being trans, because there was another nearby dream about spotting a person saying things a closeted trans person would say.

Slept fairly well. I miss having daylight by this time of day already. But I think at least today is supposed to have plenty of sun. Yesterday was pretty much rain early on, then clouds until almost 4. Thank goodness sun came out late and it was good to have that and see Ginza last evening.

40 minute sit and chat with Ginza this morning.

She got breakfast, treats, pets and cuddles.

I didn't do one yesterday as typical because of bad luck late Saturday morning when I came back from errands. Some time after that, she had shown up outside again. I saw her and invited her in. Closed the door behind us. We were doing well and one point she was following me to kitchen, shadowing me on my right side, slightly behind. Slept fairly well but even though I've already had decaf tea and a banana, washed and smoothed face, changed into clothes, my brain is still dead in the water.

Guess it be Friday.

Still very glad I quit caffeine. I feel it's helped smooth out my daily cycle and it's helping me to sleep better at night

Wonder if Ginza is going to spring more new surprises on me today? It's been a week full of amazement from her so far.

One thing I bought for myself at the Ren Faire were three energy stones (chakra in parentheses).

-Tiger's Eye (root, sacral, and solar plexus) - prosperity, creativity, strength
-Ocean Jasper (solar plexus, heart, throat) - communication, self-confidence, balance
-Iolite (throat) - vision, imagination, wisdom

I've always been fascinated by the #energy / #chakra in stones. I like to think they work, but even if they don't they're pretty meditation stones.

This morning's sit and chat with Ginza was 30 minutes long.

Ginza got breakfast, treats, pets, and cuddles.

Today's big event was how much she played with the wand toy. We played with it for about 5 minutes. She swatted it, chased it, jumped over it, and had a lot of fun. I was very happy to see her play like that. The big jump she did one time made her look like she was taking flight.

Sadly, a thunderstorm made her run off to her tstorm sheltering spot. #CatsOfMastodon

Awake.

I've been awake almost 2 hours now, but haven't had time to toot until now. I'm a sleepy bean in spite of sleeping around the clock last night.

Ginza Totoro arrived early this morning. I woke up late, but I still hadn't even made first tea when I spotted her sitting outside. So I opened up Casa Iza for her even with me still in sleepy disaster state.

Said goodbye to her about 10 minutes ago. I'm soon going to make oatmeal for larger breakfast than the banana I've had so far.

Slept pretty well except for a longish awake interval starting around midnight.
