Talking about web bloat. for a few days now exposes a simple "Hello World!!" page (https://www.netflix.com/helloworld), no styling, black on white. Probably some forgotten testing leftovers. Whatever.
That page alone downloads 731 KiB of resources, of which 529 KiB is alone. Of which, 440 KiB is a cookie consent JS...

Just finished reading Animal Farm for the first time in my life. It was good, I guess, but almost exhausting in its lack of subtlety for metaphor and allegory. I suppose that's why you read it and learn about it in high school.
