Yeah they look more like mice or bears. I cobbled together 3 different recipes to make them with heavy vanilla flavor and tangzhong. Didn’t occur to me that would affect their ability to hold a shape. Oh well, they taste good.
I was using Windows 7 and 8 but they became unusable because they were not getting anymore updates. Because they were both end of life and I couldn’t update my software because Google Chrome and others had dropped support for Windows 7 and 8. Also I was getting crashes and everything was running so slow. So I tried Linux Mint 2 years ago and I have never looked back. I used to like Windows when we had Windows 7 but that’s not supported anymore. So there is no option but to either upgrade to Windows 10 or 11. Or install Linux as I did because I did not want to use Windows 10. Windows 11 is even worse than 10. My new laptops came with that and I hated it. I was glad to uninstall it to get it off of my computer and I installed Linux Mint. It was the best thing I ever did as I don’t get the problems I had on Windows. It works better than Windows 7 in fact. I only wish I had switched to Linux sooner.
I was crossing a crosswalk early this morning on my way to the bus stop for work, while the walk sign was on, and the driver turned left onto a main road from a stop light and smashed into my left side. I was later told that I “flew up into the air”....
The fish pepper (named for its common use in seafood dishes) is popular today, but it nearly disappeared altogether: that it still exists is thanks to William Woys Weaver, a Maryland author and ethnographer. In 1995, Weaver discovered a jar of seeds in the bottom of a freezer that belonged to his grandfather, H Ralph Weaver....
Yeah I felt the same way about the guys who played soccer in my high school class. Fuckers don’t know the trophies won’t mean anything when they’re dead!
What's a bit of good advice that's really bad advice?
You know, like “always split on 18,” or “having kids is the most rewarding thing you can do in life.”...

What is the difference between cellular data being used on my phone and cellular data being used on my notebook? Data is data.

How do folks bemoaning the lack of a global communist revolution in the 1910s reconcile that with the mass starvations that happened in the two largest communist countries?
Having large numbers of people starve to death seems like a pretty damning indictment of a system. But I dunno, maybe I’m overly attached to food?
How often do you misrepresent yourself online?
I asked a related question about how often you lie, on a daily basis, but I think this is more apropos for today’s general aesthetic.
