poke,

I have no idea how they feel like they can back up like half of these claims. Not that it matters, if something leaks they’ll just say “oops, nobody could have seen this coming” and then move on.

poke,

Nah it still runs really poorly. Shame too, otherwise it’s my favorite mainline game.

poke,

Nah you had it right. They mixed up left and right.

poke,

This mindset is how many free apps we care about end up as advertising and data-selling businesses.

poke,

Can we also get Kingdom Hearts on PC but not on the epic games store?

poke,

I don’t watch Star Trek, but I want to pitch in that the only episode I’ve ever seen is Trouble With Tribbles and I enjoyed it.

poke,

Going by the recent firings, I’d wager he’s in on it.

poke,

What’s different here is that it’s an option and not the only method.

poke,

I have a plastic screen in front of my phone screen so I read the plastic and not the agreement.

poke,

Platforms can still participate in the “I don’t want you to see this”/“I want you to see this” game. Governments aren’t the only parties that benefit from looking to control public sentiment.

poke,

It unlocks characters, outfits, and hard mode.

poke,

Nah it’s just a hook, go for it champ

poke,

There are plenty of good Lemmy communities that aren’t on those instances. I don’t blanket block them personally, but I understand those who do.

Reminder: crypto isn’t solarpunk. It’s cyberpunk.

Listening to a recent episode of the Solarpunk Presents podcast reminded me the importance of consistently calling out cryptocurrency as a wasteful scam. The podcast hosts fail to do that, and because bad actors will continue to try to push crypto, we must condemn it with equal persistence....

poke,

To expand on this, there are crypto such as Nano, which take very little energy and time to crunch transactions. I wouldn’t expect most people talking about crypto to be talking about that kind of coin, though. Bitcoin and Etherium are the heavy hitters, and they are incredibly wasteful.

I’m not going to get behind the finger pointing on the comment I am replying to, though :)

poke,

Some of the water is inside the map and is interactable, the rest is prebaked

poke,

This is the current Internet but with discord statuses.

poke,

I don’t know why so many people in the fediverse consider Element a competitor to Discord. I regularly use Element, but the non-text functionality just isn’t ready to point people at as an alternative. They will have a bad time and write off Element potentially forever if they are shown that app as an alternative right now.

Some examples of functionality that is important to discord but is not a good experience or is not ready in element yet: voice/video channels, screen sharing, custom emotes and reactions, channel organization and browsing (their latest attempt just doesn’t do it for me).

Additionally, there are times when encryption just has a hiccup still or someone sets it up wrong and things can be messy because of it.

I really like element and they’ve done a good job so far, but It’s just not ready for people to be pushed there from discord.

poke,

Some people are downvoting you but you’re right. No other application is this all in one package. My only issues with input devices have been Windows’ fault, too. I don’t like Discord’s closed ecosystem and data privacy concerns, but the feature set is unmatched, especially at the amount of polish they have and their price.

Side note, people please stop using it as an alternative to a proper forum.

Sega sells off Relic Entertainment, will axe 240 jobs (www.gamedeveloper.com)

Canada-based studio Relic Entertainment, which recently released Company of Heroes 3, did receive some good news in the midst of these layoffs. The company announced on X (formerly Twitter) that it is becoming an independent studio thanks to the help of “an external investor” who went unnamed.

poke,

I wonder which side, Sega or Relic, is to blame for the awful monetization of company of heroes 2 and 3?

poke,

Thanks for the summarized notes, I’ve really been enjoying this update so far and I can’t wait to get dante, he seems busted really fun!

poke,

Also, for the unaware the new mode’s reward cycle does not work on a rotation, you will consistently get pool c rewards after a few rounds as long as you defend enough nodes. Getting the dante blueprints and axi relics is relatively fast thanks to this.

poke,

Completing a certain very long and cinematic quest will reward your operator with an amp that can clear most if not all content. Remembering to equip that has been good enough for me, I haven’t done any grind yet and I’m doing endgame stuff.

poke,

New War.
