I’m all for things that would transform this area for the better. The beach seems like a terrible idea, and I’m not sure a pool is the right thing either, but something lush and scenic and pedestrian-friendly here would be great. Now to wait 30 years and see if we get another damn concrete plaza.
In the article about this, it says non-parenthesized links, I don’t know if that would improve your odds. It’s also possible that, since this phenomenon has been known about for almost 10 years, editors are (consciously or subconsciously) avoiding letting it happen.

I think your quantifier of “any other language” is the issue. There are certainly languages with far more powerful type systems than Rust, such as Coq or Lean.
I actually think QA is the one that shouldn’t be a separate role. Test cases ought to be written by the product owner or project manager as part of defining a feature to implement, and they should do manual testing of a feature before marking it done. Implementing automated tests is probably already the developer’s job.
