I really need to pee. But I don't want to do it in the shelter, and venturing out will get wet. Fast. Hopefully the rain is only gonna last 15-20 mins more

Turns out the roof of this shelter leaks. And the rain is so heavy it's now running under the shelter across the floor. It's still drier inside than out. But I have to be careful where I sit.

Not sure what to do now. The rain is gonna make things interesting surface wise. I already have the wrong tyres, and wet sand is gonna be even harder. Tempted to take the first tarmac I can find back to a station. But not until the rain eases up. Which should be within the hour.

Have decided to try the first 35km of my original route. Then bail to a train. Taking it really easy. It's my last night tonight and I'd like to have a proper meal somewhere.

Last night for some reason, despite being plugged into a power bank, my phone battery died. Which given its my alarm clock, is suboptimal. Hopefully tonight this doesn't happen again.

@kim yes thats a fun failure mode. This pack only had 3 usb a outputs, two micro usb inputs. And no usb c.

Think my main issue is dehydration. I didn't drink enough yesterday. And didn't drink enough before bed cos of the faff that is getting out of a warm sleeping bag + tent to go pee. Now trying to camel up a bit.

Oops. Battery pack is mostly empty now. Fortunately there's a power socket in the toilet block and as I have the campsite to myself, no major harm is hogging it for the whole day.
