@rolle None of these. I don't know where to go. But over the past 25 years, there have been so many places I've written. Different forums and all kinds of chats. Many have disappeared, many have been spoiled in some way, some have become silent, or the topics have become boring. But somehow always after little brake I always find a place where to be. These options above are still not appealing.

Täytyi vastata, että ei, minulla ei ole ystäviä. Internet-tuttuja löytyy, mutta ystäviä minulla ei ole. En ole välttämättä etsinytkään ystäviä, enkä pidä tätä huonona asiana. Mutta havahduin vain tähän faktaan, että näin tosiaan on päässyt käymään.
@rolle Psykologi ja terapeutti molemmat kysyivät tuota samaa minulta taannoin. Minun oli pakko kysyä, että mitä he tarkoittavat ystävillä, koska minusta tuntui, että minun käsitys siitä on hyvin erilainen kuin heidän. Halusin, että puhumme samasta asiasta ennen kuin vastaan.
Kävi ilmi, että minulla on ystäviä. Ehkä kaksi, jopa kolme. Suurin osa ihmisistä ei vaan todennäköisesti luokittelisi sellaista suhdetta ystävyyssuhteeksi. Minulle se kuitenkin on sitä. Ja se riittää ☺️
@nyx Yeah, by ”friend” I mean someone so close in real life I can share everything and do things together frequently. But then again I behave like this with many people online so I guess I do have friends online. But IRL not so much. On the other hand I do not feel alone or feel the need for BFFs so I guess I’m all right.
The vibes on Threads have been shifted. The For you feed brings up negative and controversial posts. Unsurpisingly no such negativity exists on my chronological feeds on Mastodon.
I've never really used TikTok but it feels like what I'd expect from there. I'm kinda worried they've made it a place even people who can handle X today wouldn't want to come to.
old twitter would still be awesome if anybody offered it. we do but sadly without the big names, which are kinda essential to making it feel essential.
I don't seem to be seeing "negative" or "controversial" posts when I look at my Threads "For You" feed.
Do you think the change you are seeing on your Threads "For You" feed is something that affects most Threads users? Or something that may have just affected you?
Hearing rumors of the first #ComicConFinland. Didn’t visit myself personally, but my wife and daughter were there yesterday. It was a brief visit because they couldn’t breathe. Top highlights:
Way too many people packed in one space and only one exit (they opened another later). People got stuck inside and got panic attacks, because were not able to leave. My wife and daugher waited 15 minutes to get out.
Barely any security around
Understaffed in each aspect, no medical around
No organized lines, people made up the lines themselves and it was a mess, lines didn’t have any progress, some lined up for 8 hours without getting to meet their heroes that they paid for. Those who did get to meet, stayed babbling there for 30 minutes. Nobody controlled the meets.
They sold extra tickets even though everything ran out already
From 10000+ visitors only 800 were able to fit in to the public Q&A, no screens were provided for the rest of them
Everything sold out really quickly and the rest of the stuff were cheap fake crap
No comicbooks found, well why bother in Comiccon right?
No organized hall, everything thrown to the same space
No water points
These from the top of my head, serious issues, what a shitshow… social media representatives boost only the positive sides. Visitors’ comments paint a different picture.
@rolle a friend of mine was there, too, and criticized exactly these things you listed. Especially the chaotic waiting and huge crowds without proper organisation were the worst and on the whole the con was a disappointment to them.
