I’ve got nearly 8 years experience designing, building and shipping developer tooling and developer facing experiences while also working in a developer relations capacity.

I’m finding LinkedIn job listings to be sparse in this area and should probably start tapping into my network more.

UX LinkedIn thinks “Design for Developers” is so thorough that devs will be able to take their jobs after reading it.

Was also called a moron by a design leader.

Y’all I’m not cut out for this drama nor do I want to be involved in it. But turns out people get upset when you talk about devs learning design.

I updated my site in 2016 (attached screenshot) soon after joining Microsoft because I wanted to build my own & not use a template.

When I built this, I didn't know how to use the command line. I didn't know about templating. CSS Grid wasn't even fully supported & I had fallbacks.

In terms of designing/building for the web, I have come a LONG way folks. It's kind of awesome.

End of August always awakens some sort of deep nostalgic feeling for early autumn and adventures.

September has always been such a pivotal month for me.

I want to hike. I want to sit in Edinburgh old town and have a cup of coffee while letting history envelop me. I want to craft for Halloween. I want to take a walk by the puget sound while the sun is golden in the late afternoon and feel the warmth of summer with a hint of crispness in the air.
