Es waren ja immer mal wieder Leute unglücklich, dass im nur FLINTA*-Personen teilnehmen können. Das ist jetzt ein bisschen anders, da die Materialen des kommenden Kurses größtenteils öffentlich sein werden. Da findet sich gerade auch eine Lerngruppe, die aber noch Interessenten sucht. Das heißt: Wenn Ihr cis männlich und absolute Programmieranfänger seid, und zweiteres gerne ändern möchtet, dann meldet Euch bei mir!

It's hard to get to the point of knowing what you're doing in , because they obfuscated a very well-structured API with lots of high level methods that keep breaking the API layers all the time.

It's easy to get almost the result you want. And usually it's a complete rebuild from scratch to get from this point to a good result.

If you manage.to get to the point where everything is done with low level methods, tweaking gets quite easy and efficient.

Ich würde gerne mal wieder spenden. Aber offenbar sind dem DRK die Aktionstermine nicht lukrativ genug, so dass ich Geld für eine Fahrkarte in die Innenstadt von investieren müsste plus anderthalb Stunden Fahrzeit.

Das ist es mir nicht wert.

Alle lokalen Termine, bei denen ich war, waren sehr gut besucht.

Fazit: Es mangelt an niederschwelligen Spendenmöglichkeiten, nicht an Spendern.

A modest proposal:
The .

Every month, in a publicly transmitted ceremony, one billionaire is randomly chosen and must pay 5% of his net worth as Immediate Special Tax.

Right after the ceremony that 5% is distributed to basic human needs like healthcare and housing in another public ceremony.

If a billionaire is unlucky and get's selected 3 times in a year, he will be removed from the lottery for 12 months.

Run it for at least 5 years.

Ah, I remember why I don't really like logo design. It's a lot of work and after the logo is done as SVG:

Now you need to convert text to paths, export as png with transparent background, white background, black background, 50% gray background in several sizes.

And when you're finally done, you can be sure that someone out there wants a "little change, should only take you a minute, thx!" ;)

The markdown support can break some messages with a different layout. But the most problematic point comes from German speakers where different genders are separated by ending a word with a colon or an asterisk which results in a Markdown format.

What should we do in your opinion? Thank you.

This is not about how to write things, but about how to render things written by lots of people.
And since we don't have a way to ensure everyone does it in the same non-markdown-breaking way, I'd prefer my client to deal with this input as comfortably as possible.

Journalist in Amsterdam joining via Google Meet, live on teleprompter screen, me in front of both cameras in my little Munich Studio. Total cost of studio is about 4 flights and hotel costs ;)

Long time no ! So I was riding my bicycle to work through heavy rain (as you can see :) and a Mercedes driver cut me off on the bike lane. I yelled at him. He rolled down his window and apologised “I’m so sorry. I just didn’t see you” I had to LOL “Seriously, dude? Do I need a flashing light on my head or something?”. He got even more angry. Le sigh.

My wife and I got our flu and covid shots in one appointment last autumn without any discussion.
I'm optimistic this will be the same this year.

(We are both under 50 and this doctor resides in your neighborhood.)

We walked into the Hofbräuhaus in Las Vegas, I ordered a table in my best Bavarian 🥨🍺 - and they didn't understand me and asked for English.

And even if you happen to be in Munich, I wouldn't recommend visiting the Hofbräuhaus.
There are so many good restaurants in it's vicinity, where you can get better food and better beer with better service.

Straßenverkehrsordnung: “Parken auf dem Gehweg ist verboten”. ‪ „LOL“. „LOL“. Le sigh. Autos sind halt wichtiger als Menschen. Ich wohne jetzt fast 9 Jahre hier. Polizei oder Politik hat sich noch nie gekümmert. Kinderwagen, Rollstuhl, Rollator sollen halt sehen wie sie klarkommen.

Als meine Kinder im passenden Alter waren, habe ich sie mit Laufrad oder Fahrrad immer zwischen diesen Autos und dem Gartenzaun durchfahren lassen.

Das Risiko einer Beschädigung der Autos habe ich gegen das unzumutbare Risiko von Kindern auf der Fahrbahn abgewogen.

Fast a Bisserl schade, dass sie das immer ohne Berührung der Fahrzeuge gemeistert haben 😇

Das noch viel gefährlichere Problem sind m.E. aber die auf den Gehwegen fahrenden Autos, die es hier auch zuhauf gibt. 🙄

Idee aus Amsterdam für Innenstädte wie z.B. . Großes Lastenrad (elektrisch) für Sperrmüll. Kann man gratis leihen am Wertstoffhof. Übrigens: auch mit einem "normalen" Lastenrad oder Anhänger lassen sich diverse Fahrten zum Wertstoffhof erledigen, solange das Volumen überschaubar ist.
Kann sogar schneller gehen als in der Autoschlange.
