Every good #SEO gets up in the morning and checks GSC (and Bing WMT) to see if anything has changed overnight. But that can take an age if you have a few sites to check.

Here is my Looker Studio dashboard that i can glance at - three pages, this one is my side projects including my own site which is having a hard time with clicks and yet impressions strengthen. All fur coat and no knickers as my gran would say.

Following my speedy #11ty build of a site up and launched in 30 mins i have made myself starter pack of a base 11ty project the way I like it that all I need do is create a new repository, unpack the zip into it and run 3 NPM commands and I have a working shell of a site ready to design and deploy. If anyone is interested I can make it public.

My take on this is that Google are quite forgiving, just in case you make a mistake - websites are hard work.

12 days though - this test really wasn’t for long enough. I have had Google remembering content on my pages for years after it had gone. I think a lot also depends on how many other options Google has in it’s index for terms that page serves. Anyway, I found it interesting.

Awoken by a huge thunderstorm this morning - stretched all the way down to Brighton according to my Lightning Strikes app - and a lot of heavy rain. Unusual for this time of year and we have not had an event like this for - oooh, let me think back, about 7 weeks. Having grown up on the coast I am used to storms but I live inland now and this isn't usual. #climate

Wow. May have found a really obscure technical issue in my site that might have a profound effect on its #seo. Have just fixed it and am going to test over the next few weeks to see if there is any difference. If there is then I have yet another audit step in my arsenal and will write it up.

I really really dislike leaf blowers.

We have a lot of trees. Oaks, beech and others. So the lawn is blanketed in leaves at this time of year.

So I got a gadget.

A hand pushed Gardenia leaf and grass collector.
