Is it really called 2% milk? That seems inverted tbh since it’s obviously 98% milk and 2% fat. Here (NZ) we call it something like “trim” or “skim” or “98% fat free”
What’s the point of installing the app then? Just use netflix in a browser if you’re going to use netflix. The only reason you even needed the stupid app was to use the download feature
In Dune II (1992) the units move slower when they’re off screen. This is useful because you can only select one unit at a time to give orders, so if you want to send an army into the enemy base you send them one at a time. But then you can carefully position your camera to allow the units at the rear to catch up with those in the lead so your whole army arrives at once and overwhelms the enemy.
I had to help my sister keep her 8 year old Mac going or buy a new secondhand (cheap) machine. With the options out there and with the state of Windows, I didn’t even consider it.
She’s ended up with her same 8 year old Mac with Ubuntu 24.04, and I’ve been really impressed with how it’s actually great for non-technical users these days! And works really well on old hardware.
This should give her another few years of life out of the thing without worrying about software support.
I’m sick of random capitalisations mid sentence. I’m sick of common words being replaced by less common ones or even downright nonsense. I’m sick of it taking three attempts to successfully get the word I want. I swear it’s been like this for five years or more. Can we have a better version yet, or at least the old one...
I like to hold the banana upright facing away from me, and then I sneak up behind it and use a really sharp knife to sever the jugular part way through before I rip its head backward, peeling the skin all the way down its spine.

I feel like I see a fair amount of gaming laptops in the US but a majority of people seem to still game on desktop. I guess what I am looking for is a ratio of one versus the other otherwise a country like China might dominate on numbers alone....
I don’t have space for a desktop computer - and I have a standalone house, it’s not like I’m in some tiny apartment, so I’m guessing this isn’t too unusual? I pull out the laptop when I want to play games.
It helps that I don’t play AAA games and a decent spec laptop plays what I want just fine
I’m re-watching The Magicians with my wife, since she’s never seen it. It’s been long enough since I watched it last that I don’t remember a lot of things that happened, so there’s a lot of “I forgot got that!” moments for me, which is fun.
I have two. Early career I found the second one absolutely improved my productivity - perhaps by 50% or more - as it helped me multitask really effectively.
Now, later in my career I have had kids for a while. My multitasking went out the window when I had kids - I find it hard to juggle more than one or maybe two things I’m working on at a time. I suspect this was due to poor sleep - parents never seem to really catch up to sleeping full nights like before kids. Instead of multitasking on lots of small things I transitioned to more in-depth work where I can focus for longer periods on a single thing.
Now, I think having a second monitor is still useful but I can function fine without it. It’s maybe a 10% boost if that.
I haven’t stopped playing Overwatch since it came out, still getting on with friends 2 or 3 nights a week and putting in a few hours (and I’m still awful lol). I also still log on to Battlefield 1943 from time to time to get in a few matches....
What do you just not give a single fuck about that so many people try to make you give a shit about?
