@grillchen @kaia Librewolf works fine when you disable the data deletion on closure and disable most settings on the Librewolf tab under settings (fingerprinting stuff breaks a lot of shit and even ipv6 is turned off by default).

It is great for me, better than Logitech Marble and those thumb ball ones. The trick to this and other equipment is to have the desk/keyboard pullout against your thighs so arms are around 90 degree angle or slightly lower. Of course if using it with your arm upwards the big size of it just emphasizes the discomfort.

The best part about the CST thing is that it doesn't require cleaning. Rolling the ball fast self-cleans it well enough. It is easy to open if need to actually clean it (I usually do every three years or so. Marble needed daily cleaning).

I'd suggest checking if you can order it with free return if not your thing.

@Jain @ashten They can just hand off the decoding to system installed decoder like Edge does (no need to pay royalties). There already is a Windows only way to do that with: media.wmf.hevc.enabled and other OS's are coming soon (tm).

It took like a decade for Firefox devs to pull their heads out of their asses and actually do this (for Windows only currently).

@Jain @jegler @ashten The latest Quicksync and Nvenc (1650 or newer) are equivalent to x265 medium preset quality wise. You can decide if that is good enough (to me it is).

AV1 hardware encoding is still pretty new thing, so I don't think there are any good comparison statistics between hardware and software encoders given it is a constantly moving target (hevc/x265 isn't).

If you want to stream or record gameplay you want hardware encoding. Remember uploading to services like Youtube destroys the quality in any case, so might as well just make the hardware encoder go brr.

@Jain @nyamoon Here "everyone" does it. It is kinda gruesome and sad that knowing well enough that accidents are more common in that day everyone still goes on trips (and maybe drink a little). I guess it is the "I am not a bad driver" or "lol idiots drowning when could swim" attitude that catches people off guard.

Yes, guys are way more likely to cause the accidents or be the ones drowning, go figure lol
