AvE. I wish he’d have kept his political comments to snide funny side comments. But the straw for me was his arguing against masks and repeating covid conspiracy dog whistles.

Typical case of a person becoming (fairly) widely recognized as a smart domain expert and thinking this translates into being an expert in other fields. It happens, sadly, so often with Youtubers.

A less fussy version: mix any yoghurt and any hard cereal like Grapenuts. If you want fruit, get pre-fruited yoghurt.

My dad, blue-collar, single father, used to make this for his breakfast before work. It’s simple, fast, cheap, as sweet as you prefer, reasonably available in food deserts, and holds up well over time if you can’t eat it immediately (it gets soggy more slowly).

If you have money and want to get precious about it, you can use hand-mixed granola and skyr, but all you really need is Grapenuts and yoghurt.

Do you mind me asking why youfre selling?

The Model 100 is a KB I’d love to own one day simply because they’re so pretty. But I also think they did a nice job with the key layout; the only thing stopping me is that I’d like a more aggressive stagger - I already have an Ergodox, and it’s too tame.

But, damn, that’s a fine looking piece of kit. Keep me in mind when you offload it, and I may be able to throw my hat in.

Us too. Totally worth the $$, and especially getting a good one.

But the GOAT is a legand my wife tells me about, from her chidhood. A friend of her mother’s was an elderly widow, a German immigrant. She had a parlor with a fireplace which she kept closed up, except for at Christmas. Then she’d open it up; it stayed perpetually decorated for the holiday, tree and all. At the end of the season, she’d put sheets on the furniture and close the room again until the next Christmas.

I always admired Frau Erdle.

But, no. His base understands that he’s talking about the ones with the dirty-colored skin. Not the pure, clean, white skin. Or the obviously superior orange.

Oh! One pet theory I have is that he’s not trying for “orange,” but rather “gold.” He’s got a fettish for the color gold, and I think his orange skin is as close as he can get. Or else he is partially color-blind and he thinks his skin is gold-colored.

Depends on how much you let them link it back to you, but you’re absolutely right: social media is a privacy nightmare. It can be mitigated; pick a Lemmy instance that doesn’t require an email, and don’t give out any identifying information, or just lurk. Many of us have multiple accounts on different servers, with carefully segregated personas. You do what you can; OP asked why (or why not) scrob. I see no reason to give out that information, only to give a company more information they can sell.
