Very tired of the "should comedy be allowed to offend" crap. "Comedy" (that broad, nebulous thing, lots of different things make lots of different people laugh) can do what it wants. But brushing material damage caused off as "offence" doesn't hold water in lots of cases. The people who make comedy can choose to ignore that adding to the lower-level hum of hate against, or dehumanisation of, certain groups is just that, a choice. But that's not up to "comedy", that's up to them.

Oh Lordy. The concept of “cancelled” needs to be cancelled. It’s not a sympathy card to play when people are angry about something you have actually done (or neglected to do). It is horrible when the consequences play out in public. Deeply uncomfortable and stressful. But you’re not being “cancelled”. Please don’t diminish people’s anger to some online whim, particularly when it’s their tax €s at stake.
